No matter how hard Lyla tried to stop, she couldn't stop crying. She felt as though her heart had been cracked open and shattered into tiny shards that were irreparable,ones that cut her any time she tried to breathe. The pain was raw,soul wrenching and deafening. She didn't know how long she had been kneeling beside Hades body. Maybe minutes. Or even hours. She didn't care about time anymore.
Even though the world around her was filled with chaos, distant echoes and stench of blood heavy in the air,the only thing she cared about was Hades. It felt so painfully quiet. Too quiet.
Then she senses someone coming towards her.
Her body tensed instinctively ready to fight off anyone that tried to take Hades away from her. But she calmed down when hands touched her shoulder gently. She didn't give off any other reaction. She was too broken to even do so.
