Yuldra watched Prince Angelus's palanquin like a hawk from the tower. Luckily for her, the Kahhori built the tower so tall that one could see every inch of the palace from the station.
Her heart had doubt on the grand prince. The magic-detecting compass had never failed her before, so she was certain Angelus was hiding something.
It led her to spy on the prince. For a man who kept to himself and rarely made an appearance anywhere, Yuldra was surprised to see him with a company that wasn't his crazy servants.
"Why are you staring at the grand prince like that?"
"I fear the prince isn't what he portrays himself to be to the outside world."
"What gave it away?"
"He was arrested days back and was to be tried but he got released immediately. Don't you find it strange?"
"What I find strange is the changing tides. Who would've ever thought that the king's favorite mistress would serve at the queen's pleasure?"
