Lady Catalina did not dare to close her eyes because every time she did, he was there, Ambrose. His voice, his touch, and his words.
"Say my name, Catalina."
She clenched her fists, hating how her body reacted just remembering it.
Lady Catalina should have been furious. She should have been repulsed. Instead, all she felt was a fire burning in her body.
"I will ruin you for anyone else."
A tremor ran through her. 'Damn him!' she cursed.
Her mother had interrogated her the moment they left the gardens. Lady Calista had been positively smug, sipping her tea as she subtly pried into every lingering glance, and every breathless reaction.
