Prince Angelus stood by his window, staring at the cold moonlight shining over Sevigoria. Today was Red Day eve, a night before the celebration of love.
However, a love like his was forbidden. If anyone knew about him and Cassiel, the punishment would be severe.
A soft knock came at his door. Angelus quickly unlocked it, letting Cassiel slip inside. The snow prince's silver hair shimmered in the candlelight, and his icy blue eyes held a secret.
"Come with me," Cassiel whispered, taking Angelus's hand.
Angelus hesitated but trusted him. Cassiel led him through the hidden corridors of the castle, up to the tower where no one would disturb them. When the door opened, Angelus gasped.
The room was transformed. Red roses frozen in perfect crystal ice lined the walls. The floor was covered in shimmering frozen petals.
The chandelier dripped with icicles glowing red, as if holding fire inside. The air was crisp, filled with the scent of winter roses.
