Crystal was standing in front of a high and grand building which was illuminated with calming colour lights and giving the building a charming and elegant vibe with 'Soulful Diamonds' written at the centre decorated with gleaming ornaments.
"Totally opposite to the owner's personality!" She thought
Ignoring the curious gazes, she entered the building without any restrictions. As always, the atmosphere inside the club was all pumped up with loud music and fancy colourful lights which was giving a joyful vibe to the club.
Passing through the wild crowd, she felt many eyes on her "Maybe, they never saw a girl with a bandage in the club!"
But soon she reached the other part of the club. Many men and women were sitting, leaning against the bar or drinking. She settled herself on a stool that was a little far away from all the excited crowd. "Finest Lillet Wine, please."
After giving her order to the bartender, she turned her head towards the upper rooms on the opposite side. The rooms that are only for VIPs or VVIPs, she used to be one of them. She wasted her lots of time there, just to get a glance from or at the man whom she loved. Whenever she met him, she was nothing more than a ghost to him whom he always avoided or ignored; however she's always been adamant in the matter of her feelings for him. But now, he's the last person she wants to meet or perhaps, not even the last person.
Her trance was broken by the bartender's voice "Your order ma'am!"
After taking a sip, she mumbled "It's still the same!"
In one of the VVIP rooms, Lucas, Henry and their other friend Chris were having some drinks when Henry asked "You said that you won't be able to make it tonight?"
"Should I leave?" Lucas retorted
"Hehe… Why so serious? I was just asking." Saying this he went to the large windows through which he can see the people downstairs but they can't look past through the windows.
"Henry told me that Crystal is hospitalised." Chris remarked
Lucas stayed quiet as Chris continued "If you don't accept her as your fiancee then why not annul the engagement?"
"Can't"
Just a mere thought of her leaving him, he felt a sudden tightness in his chest.
'I'll always stay with you and will never abandon you.'
"She'll never leave me!" He doesn't know if he was saying this to Chris or himself. Today's hospital made him feel uneasy as something was not right or something has changed but what, he isn't able to point out. This kind of powerlessness he felt for the first time which he didn't like.
He took a large sip from his whiskey.
Henry, who was staring in a certain direction, questioned "Lucas, didn't you say that Crystal is at the hospital"
He turned to his friend "Then what is she doing downstairs?"
Lucas stopped drinking at once and went to the window followed by Chris.
And there he saw her, sitting on the stool with her left arm placed on the bar counter while the other hand's forefinger was moving against the rim of the wine glass and before her two empty glasses were present there.
And by sitting there in her black jumpsuit with the white coat on her shoulder while her Ombre hairs were spread all over the coat, the bandage on her head was too dazzling but it was not affecting the aura she had around her. She looked like the epitome of grace and elegance.
"It's hard to believe that she's the same Crystal Wayne who always wears weird clothes."
Lucas was watching her like he was waiting for something but she was unmoved. Soon his expressionless eyes turned into a frown as he saw a man approaching her.
