Jaime sat in silence as men in silver expression less masks stood around him, chanting spells- all the while a trio of muggles were working in the corner. A device of technological applications that he personally did not truly understand.
Jaime knew very well what it is he was doing, Vagnar had asked specifically for volunteers before informing them of the bonuses.
Unlike most Berserkers, Jaime had a family. He had been imprisoned for an accidental killing of a muggle when he was 14, the result of his supremacist dad. And he had never recovered, but his sister and brother still lived in Norway somewhere.
Trying to live with their family's history, and Jaime just knew they were struggling. He had no contact with them, but he knew they needed it.
And the sum the Malfoys were willing to cough up to get a volunteer was well worth the sacrifice in Jaime's mind. And he had been assured the money had been transferred, as it had already been sent.
It was rather comedic he supposed, he was going to play a major role in breaking out the man who had caused so much pain and suffering for his family, the man who was supposed to guard them, but had marked them for suffering instead.
And this man, would run free- do what he did best. Killing muggles and mudbloods in a country run by a man with similar goals.
'A necessary evil' Jaime thought, it was about time people learnt to either shut down and kill individuals of this specific ideology, or let the ideology consume the world. But Jaime cared little about that, he just wanted to make sure his family would survive. They did not deserve the fate that involved the older members of their family.
And with that, Jaime let them strap the muggle device to his chest- and grabbed an overcoat, placing it firmly over his shoulders. All the while the wizards continued to weave their wands, placing all forms of explosive or permanently damaging spells.
He already felt the radiowaves enter his body, and knew he would die within hours anyhow.
"Thank you for your sacrifice, it will not be forgotten." Was the last words he heard from the wizards, as they left the room and another one walked in.
His brother;
"Is it truly you, Jaime?" The 22 year old asked him, as Jaime felt tears drop from his eyes. "Yes, little brother. It is." As suddenly the younger man slammed into Jaime, in a last hug.
"I was told you had to go, they've told me of your task. And I wanted to say, thank you. Thank you so much, you don't understand how much we need this. This will get us back on our feet again, and our sister doesn't have to do 'that' type of work."
Jaime began trembling slightly at the emphasis of 'that' type of work, but nevertheless pushed it back down. At least it helped.
"Of course, now you must leave. And I will fulfill my task, Jaime said as he headed for the fireplace- grabbed green powder before stepping in.
"Longyear City!" He shouted, before throwing the powder into the fireplace.
-----------
And on an island, thousands of miles away. A certain house in the Longyear City was engulfed in a massive explosion; over 200 metres radius were eradicated- before green flames rushed out once more and consumed over 1/4ths of the city, in an almost magical display.
And in the snowy Arctic of the same islands, deep within the ice an alarm began flaring as men suddenly appeared in a massive meeting room, over 25 men. The officers of the Coldfront Prison, and in the middle stood the Swedish 3rd Auror.
"Longyear Secure Transit has been eradicated, every single part of it. And magical sensors have picked up almost 200 magical signatures rushing towards the prison. Prepare our defenses, we will hold to the last man."
And in another part of the same prison, the Finnish 3rd and Norwegian 4th Auror barged into a room a heavily guarded room that took over 5 minutes to reach due to a serious number of security measures, for they had to reach the reserve floo network.... but what awaited them was not another floo network- instead, a massive insectoid manticore.
It looked like a massive scorpion, with a crimson body covered in quills, two pairs of pincers, and a pair of flexible antennae- the end split into three parts that attempted to snatch the Finnish 3rd Auror, but was blocked with a protego.
It also had three stingers, with the largest one in the middle. Which then suddenly began shooting fireballs.
The Norwegian Auror blocked it with a sudden Protego Maximo, as the full scale of the monster came into sight. It was almost the size of a dragon, and it was dead-set on killing.
"Holy fucking shit." The Norwegian Auror spoke. "We need to handle this, now. Call reinforcements!" He continued as he began throwing fireballs at the beast, though nothing seemed to phase it.
The finnish auror meanwhile pressed his wand to a mark on his chest, and every guard within 50 metres were warned- and luckily this was in the middle of the barracks so over 30 men responded.
Though sadly, that left other portions of the prison unguarded.
.....
Draco sat on his trustworthy firebroom, watching as a sudden explotion rang through the ice. The entrance to the prison blown apart.
'It was spectacularly difficult to find a man willing to betray his brother, a mix of promised asylum and luxury for his family in Britain. Alongside a very heavy donation and a weird kidnapping of a Slovenian 3rd Daughter but in the end it worked out.' Draco thought with amusement, wizards certainly had their kinks.
And with that, Draco managed to place an insectoid breed of a Manticore in the middle of their barracks. It was a very sudden thing Lord Voldemort had been gifted it from a sad bloke from Greece that thought Voldemort was all but a god.
Of course, Lord Voldemort had Nagini and would never accept another pet- or nagini wouldn't accept it. And therefore I somehow managed to get my hand on it, and it for sure was a difficult task.
We had after multiple hours, and several reinforcements from Death Eaters managed to subdue it. And from there, placed several failsafes into the beast, alongside a Pokémon-ball-like object that would force the manticore into a ring.
The Manticore was a strong beast, but it was not necessarily difficult to best. A team of 5 wizards could easily handle it, as although it's scales were resistant to magic- the energy did not completely disappear.
The Manticore would eventually tire out from either lack of energy, or the energy as it was being repeatedly punched by magical energy. The good part however, was that it was as large as a dragon and in an enclosed space could be a lot more devastating than on the open field.
"Alright men, you have your tasks. Go." Draco spoke, as suddenly all little over 200 men placed their brooms in their pockets, before disappearing into a semi-apparition space and rushing towards the now opened entrance, blasting it with continuous Bombarda Maxima and expanding it. As they all charged in.
Including the officers, except Sander, Erik and Harald- as from what the camera placed on the Manticore showed- their targets were currently preoccupied and the Swedish Auror guarded their next target. "We will go free the important prisoners," Draco spoke, as he turned his broom towards another spot.
The Highly Dangerous Section
It was entirely seperate from the prison, the entrance being another part of the ice altogether.
"Go crazy, Sander." Draco spoke as Sander too dissapeared- followed by a massive explotion as he blew his way into the maximum security section.
----------
Less than a second after blowing his way into the prison, a man appeared before him that radiated of dangerous. "Of course you're an exception to the anti-apparating restrictions." Sander muttered and the Swedish Auror simply shrugged.
"I've got other things to handle, please surrender." He spoke, before raising his wand as wind gathered around his wand.
"Sorry to dissapoint." Sander spoke as he raised his own wand and lightning rushed across the ground towards him, forcing the auror to jump into the air, whom then found himself suddenly plasted by gravitational force.
He tried to block it, but even though the protego held, the auror was still sent flying backwards and through the jail, being sent into the sky.
Sander was breathing heavily before he transformed into a semi-apparition state and chased after. Only for Draco and Erik to appear moments later.
"He's been growing steadily." Erik remarked with a raised eyebrow, still confused as how quickly Sander managed to redirect that wizard. "He's truly come along with gravitational manipulation, maybe that will become his new ace." Draco responded, as he casually and soundlessly blocked a spell from a guard.
Erik then countered with a simple Stupefy that was blocked, but the wizard was not prepared for the binding spell Draco followed up with.
It was quick work for Erik and Draco, as they worked their way through the facility. Handling a dozen other split up guards, and breaking through the defenses put up. Though certain instructions from an unnamed spy who knew the ways certainly helped.
And soon enough, they ended up in a massive 4-leveled rectuangular open hall. With 10 rows of prisoners on each level on each side, and 2 in the short sides. A total of 22 on each level, or 88 prisoners.
The hall filled up with silence as Erik and Draco entered, as Draco brought up a file he had gotten from a guard, which held the names of every single prisoners. As he found the name he needed;
"Does anyone know where Torstein Galte is?" He spoke up, and there was no response for ten long seconds- as Draco simply stood there in patience and nobody answered. Until one eventually did.
"I am Torstein Galte." He spoke, and Draco's eyes turned to him. He was a tall and sturdy-built man, looking somewhat like Henry Cavil, though he had clearly seen more of this world.
Draco then transformed into a semi-apparition state and flew up to him, landing directly outside his cell. "Do you know who I am?" Draco asked, being well aware that Torstein had no idea who he wa-
"Yes, you've appeared in multiple of my dreams." Was the simple response, as Dracos eyebrows raised slightly.
"That is very interesting, let's mayhaps discuss those later. That is if you'd be interested in entering my service." Draco spoke, and this time Torsteins eyebrow raised slightly, even though he was very interested.
"Why would I want that? You're barely half my age, most likely under from your appearance."
"I'm 18 by the way, but it will be a strictly transaction-like partnership. You serve me, and I will make you King of Norway. You've probably realised by now that you cannot hope to overthrow their longtime standing as the rulers alone. But with Britain, you may." Draco spoke with a confident expression.
"The plan is long, and the details tedious but the gist of it is that if you support me, I will support you." Draco said and Torstein chuckled before crossing his arms across his chest.
"Sounds interesting, I'm a simple man y'know. And from what I gather you're not, I do not have the talent for plotting. But I do know how to fight, and if you can plot for me, I will fight for you." Was his response and a smile blossomed onto Dracos face. "Excellent. Please do the honors, Erik." Draco spoke to Erik, whom raised a wand captured from a guard and pressed it to the door, releasing the man.
Draco put his hand forth, and Torstein took it. They held it there for a second, before stepping back and Draco brought out a wand for Torstein. "Your wand is in storage somewhere; my men is getting them. But this will have to settle for now." He spoke, before jumping down and landing in the middle.
Placing his wand to his throat, he amplified his voice massively. "Ladies and gentlemen of Coldfronts Highly Dangerous Prison, my name is Draco Malfoy. And I am a man under service to Lord Voldemort, and I have come here to offer you a chance."
"Serve his cause, serve me, and you shall once again see your former glory in Norway. But until then, you will help us secure Britain and then transform the world- into one where wizards and witches are where they should be. Standing on muggles and looking down. Will you serve the Dark Lord, and turn the tables?"
And Draco got a roaring response from all, as he nodded to Erik who began releasing people.
Meanwhile, Torstein met Draco in the middle. And Draco spoke first, "I don't believe in any of the bullshit I just said, but it is a necessary sacrifice for a greater ambition. Though there is something I need from you."
"Hm?"
"You wouldn't happen to still be in contact with the rebellious wizards in this prison? I'm sure they would prefer not to mix with these.... extremists."
"I believe there is a list somewhere..... ah yes, it is with the Finnish Auror if my memory does not fail me."
"I believe they are currently busy with a Manticore; you wouldn't mind handling those?" Draco asked with a smile and Torstein nodded. "It will be done. By the way, my son Sverre is here- watch over him for me?"
"Of course." Draco responded, and with that Torstein suddenly ran off- magic channeled through his soles as he went much faster than one would usually run.
Draco then turned to the rest of the prisoners that were slowly exiting the jail. "Okay everybody, please line up and prepare for transportation." He spoke as he brought out a small bag from his pocket and turned it upside down. And a big cabinet fell out.
"This is a vanishing cabinet, now let's enter 8 people at a time. Come on, this is your only way out." And luckily, only Torstein recieved a wand so the others quickly lined up under the gaze of both Draco and Erik.
