He fully intended to confront Frieza. While he didn't personally dwell on the destruction of Planet Vegeta, the larger mission of universal conquest was one he couldn't ignore.
The problem was that despite his current superiority, the Saiyan God's power had a strict time limit. He had only been able to maintain it for two minutes before it began to fade. If he went into battle now and Frieza managed to escape, things could become far more complicated.
If Frieza fled and spent time strengthening himself, it could lead to an even bigger disaster.
"Aspara, don't misunderstand. Celipa is just... worried." Toma interjected quickly.
Jiang Chen smiled. "I understand, Uncle Toma."
He knew exactly what they were feeling.
Even Vegeta, in his desperation, had abandoned his Saiyan pride on Planet Namek and begged Goku to finish Frieza. If someone as proud as Vegeta could feel that way, it was no surprise that Celipa and the others, though silent until now, would harbor similar emotions.
Now that they knew Jiang Chen possessed the strength to challenge Frieza, they couldn't suppress their anticipation any longer.
After reassuring them, Jiang Chen turned his attention toward Kami Piccolo and Kame Sennin, engaging in a brief conversation before everyone finally departed, filled with renewed determination.
Raditz and the others returned to the Galactic Patrol headquarters.
Jiang Chen, however, remained at the Lookout.
Once the others had left, he turned toward Kami Piccolo.
"Kami Sama, I'd like to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber again. Would that be possible?" Jiang Chen asked respectfully.
"Of course!" Kami Piccolo nodded without hesitation. "Aspara San, feel free to use it as you see fit."
"Mr. Popo!" Kami Piccolo turned to his attendant.
"Kami Sama!" Mr. Popo stepped forward. "Aspara San, please follow me."
"Thank you," Jiang Chen said, giving a small nod of gratitude before following Mr. Popo inside.
Once Jiang Chen had left, North Kaiō's voice echoed through the Lookout.
"Earth Kami, your world is truly remarkable!" The normally reserved deity laughed heartily. "To think your planet would give birth to a true Spiritual God! He... is he really stronger than Frieza?"
"Yes, North Kaiō Sama," Kami Piccolo answered with a hint of pride.
"Excellent!" North Kaiō's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Listen, Earth Kami—make sure he comes to my planet soon! I'll teach him some techniques that will guarantee his victory over Frieza!"
His enthusiasm was so overwhelming that he immediately started pacing back and forth, unable to contain himself.
"Alright, North Kaiō Sama!"
Earth's Kami, though not fully understanding, quickly nodded in agreement upon hearing North Kaiō's voice.
"Remember, tell him when he comes out— I'm waiting!" North Kaiō couldn't help but remind him again.
"Yes, of course!" Kami Piccolo responded immediately.
At this moment, Jiang Chen remained unaware of the conversation between North Kaiō and Kami Piccolo.
Following Mr. Popo, his figure swiftly arrived at the Time Chamber once again.
"Aspara San, are you planning to use the Time Chamber for training again?"
"You might have to wait a little."
Upon arriving at the base of the Lookout, Mr. Popo softly informed Jiang Chen.
"That's fine!"
"Mr. Popo, I'm in no rush!"
Jiang Chen smiled and reassured him. This time was different from before.
His reason for returning wasn't merely to refine his ki or undergo martial training. Instead, he sought to attune himself to the traces of energy deep within the Lookout— an aura similar to the one he had encountered in the hidden realm of Planet Yardrat.
After achieving his Saiyan God transformation, Jiang Chen had come to understand what this aura truly was.
Godly ki.
And not just any Godly ki— a particularly refined and powerful form of it.
Although faint, it was undeniably present.
Now that he had successfully entered the realm of Saiyan Gods, what he truly needed was to comprehend and master its power.
Relying on the residual Godly ki left behind by the earlier ritual was far from sufficient. True mastery required a deeper understanding. Thus, he had set his sights on the depths of the Lookout.
Though this ki was different from that of a Saiyan God, understanding it could bring him one step closer to fully grasping his newfound divine power.
Time passed slowly.
After approximately two days, Mr. Popo reactivated the Time Chamber.
Once again, Jiang Chen's consciousness was projected into the echoes of the past.
But this time, his objective wasn't to train alongside past warriors or engage in sparring. Instead, he focused on absorbing every detail of the visions presented to him.
The days flowed by like a quiet river.
During this time, all remained calm.
The threat of Lord Slug had vanished, and Earth was only just stepping into the beginning of a new saga, devoid of immediate dangers.
Even the greater universe remained relatively stable.
The only notable shift was the increasing presence of the Galactic Patrol.
Raditz and the others moved tirelessly, maintaining balance throughout the cosmos.
Through their efforts, their true righteous hearts were slowly taking form.
Deep within the Lookout.
Jiang Chen sat in meditative focus, his eyes shut.
A faint, silver-gray Godly ki slowly gathered around him.
Yet, there was an unmistakable barrier— an insurmountable gap preventing this ethereal energy from merging into his body.
"This is... incredibly difficult to grasp."
Jiang Chen opened his eyes and let out a deep sigh.
Countless attempts at understanding. Endless journeys into the past. Direct contact with that Godly ki.
And yet, perhaps due to the sheer complexity of its nature, his comprehension had barely advanced.
No, not barely.
It hadn't progressed at all.
He could sense the divine energy, but he couldn't integrate it, much less guide it as he had with the power of the Saiyan God.
Even though he had prepared himself for the challenge...
The difficulty was overwhelming.
A faint flicker of frustration stirred in his heart. Shaking his head, Jiang Chen took a deep breath and calmed his mind.
He slowly rose to his feet.
But at that very moment—
The flow of space and time froze in an instant and a golden script materialized before his eyes.
Simultaneously, an ethereal voice resounded in his ears.
"Third Divine Trial— Concluded!"
"Preparing for return."
"Stand by."
"Countdown commencing."
"Ten, nine, eight, seven..."
The familiar voice echoed within his consciousness.
As the countdown neared its final moments—
'Buzz!'
A radiant light, invisible to all but Jiang Chen, descended from the heavens, piercing through the very fabric of the universe. It enveloped the entire galaxy, the Earth, and, in a blink, encased his body completely.
Jiang Chen felt a sudden weightlessness wash over him.
Then, his vision blurred.
In the next instant, he found himself once more in a vast, endless white expanse.
The third trial had concluded.
(The third trial has ended. Now comes the evolution of the world. Regarding Super Saiyan God, the protagonist's mastery is still beneath that of Son Goku's, so naturally, its amplification effect is weaker.)
