Chapter 74 - Chapter 5

The next few days were a blur of meetings, deals, and damage control. The incident with Katsuki had rattled me more than I cared to admit. It served as a stark reminder of the precarious tightrope I walked. I was a businessman by day, a mafia boss by night. Two lives, intertwined and constantly threatening to unravel.

The added stress was starting to take its toll. I found myself snapping at my subordinates, losing my patience with even the most minor issues, and spending sleepless nights plotting my next moves.

One evening, while reviewing some financial reports, Kurogiri entered my office.

"Boss," he said, his voice calm and measured as always. "Lady Nagant is here to see you. She says it's urgent."

Nagant? What could she possibly want? Our alliances were strong, but we rarely met face-to-face unless absolutely necessary.

"Send her in," I said, leaning back in my chair.

Nagant entered the room, her face grim. "Midoriya," she said, nodding curtly. "We have a problem."

"Overhaul," i said.

"yes" she said.

"He has been working with someone i told him to stay away from he is a low life with zero business ethics and he will destroy the league." nagant said.

my face went pale. "who is the man" i asked.

"some man I never knew but all i know is this man is dangerous someone who has the ability to manipulate anyone. he has a strong presence and he has some powerful quirks..." nagant says lowly.

"how did he get roped into overhaul end of the deals" i ask sternly.

"that i dont know but we need to do something soon or that man will get everyone in this building killed or worse." she glared.

I tapped my fingers on the desk, thinking. This was not good. Overhaul was unpredictable, volatile. And if he was involved with someone dangerous, it could jeopardize everything. I had worked too hard to let some unknown variable ruin my operations.

"Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Nagant," I said. "I will handle this personally."

She nodded, her expression still concerned. "Be careful, Midoriya. This feels… different."

After Nagant left, I called a meeting with Shigaraki, Dabi, and Kurogiri.

"I need you to investigate Overhaul," I said, laying out the situation. "Find out who he's working with and what their plans are. I want every detail, no matter how small."

Shigaraki grinned, a cruel glint in his eyes. "Finally, something interesting to do."

Dabi nodded, his expression unreadable. "We'll get it done."

Kurogiri, as always, remained calm and collected. "I will discreetly monitor Overhaul's movements," he said.

Within a few days, they had uncovered some alarming information. Overhaul was indeed working with a dangerous individual, a manipulative mastermind who had infiltrated several other criminal organizations. His name was… irrelevant, because his presence was the true danger. The man was good at getting what he wanted.

"He's playing Overhaul like a fiddle," Shigaraki reported, a hint of admiration in his voice. "He's using him to gain access to our network, our resources."

"And what does he want?" I asked.

"Power," Dabi said. "Control. He wants to be the top dog. A mafia king."

This was exactly what I feared.

"We need to stop him," I said, my voice hard. "Before he can cause any more damage."

The question was, how?

That's when Shinso showed up at my base, unannounced.

"We need to talk," he said, his face serious. "It's about Katsuki."

I raised an eyebrow. "What about him?"

"He's been asking questions," Shinso said. "About you. About your… activities."

My blood ran cold. Had Katsuki figured out the truth? Was he closing in on my double life?

"What kind of questions?" I asked, trying to remain calm.

"About your business dealings," Shinso said. "About your connections. He suspects something, Izuku. And he's not going to stop until he finds out the truth."

This was a disaster. Katsuki was relentless. If he started digging, he would uncover everything. My mafia life, my criminal empire… everything would come crashing down.

"I need your help, Shinso," I said, my voice low. "I need you to keep Katsuki off my back."

Shinso looked at me, his expression unreadable. "And what do I get in return?"

His words hung in the air, heavy with unspoken meaning. I knew what he wanted. He had made it clear before. But the thought of the implications made my stomach churn. But I had no choice. My life, my empire, depended on it.

"Anything," I said, meeting his gaze. "Anything at all."
