"Ultimate move?"
Everyone was momentarily stunned and looked at Ezaki Kitazawa in surprise.
To be honest, they were really curious—what exactly was this so-called ultimate move?
"That dragon? Or the giant from earlier?" Kirishima Eijiro asked.
"No, no, no. This is something even stronger than those. Stop talking, just give me thirty seconds," Ezaki Kitazawa said calmly.
With his current strength, gathering natural energy took about thirty seconds. During that time, he needed complete focus and couldn't afford any interruptions.
"Boom!"
At that moment, a massive metal pillar came swinging toward them. All Might immediately appeared in front of them, reaching out to block it.
"What are you all doing? Leave this to me and get somewhere safe!" All Might urged.
But just then, Todoroki and Bakugo stepped forward.
"Thirty seconds, right? Fine. We'll hold him off. I want to see this 'ultimate move' of yours," Bakugo said with a blank expression.
"The rest of you, do as All Might said and get to safety. We'll take care of things until your thirty seconds are up," Todoroki said confidently.
He had the same thought as Bakugo—he wanted to witness Ezaki Kitazawa's ultimate move for himself.
"Got it."
Yaoyorozu and the others nodded. Kirishima carried David on his back and ran as fast as he could.
As they ran, Melissa couldn't help but ask, "What exactly is Ezaki's ultimate move?"
Her question left Yaoyorozu and the others speechless.
"We… don't know. Ezaki never told us, and we've never seen him use it before," Yaoyorozu admitted.
"We've only seen his giant and his dragon, but he said those aren't his ultimate move," Jiro added.
"Hopefully, it's a powerful enough move to take the enemy down in one hit," Kirishima said between breaths.
"Yeah… I hope so. This whole mess started because of my dad. I'm really sorry, everyone…" Melissa said guiltily.
"Melissa, don't blame yourself. This isn't entirely your fault. Your intentions were good—you just got set up," Yaoyorozu reassured her.
Just then, the ground suddenly started shaking.
"What's happening? Another quake?" Jiro frowned. As she ran, she instinctively turned to look back.
And the next moment, she abruptly stopped in her tracks.
Everyone else also froze and turned their heads.
And then, all of them stopped running, standing there in shock.
Their faces went blank, their eyes widened, and beads of sweat appeared on their cheeks.
Because right before their eyes…
A massive, thousand-armed Buddha statue towered over everything.
Its sheer size went beyond anything they could have imagined.
"This… this is…"
Kirishima swallowed hard.
"How much power does it take… to summon something this gigantic?"
"This power... There's no way a human could achieve this. This is basically godlike..."
Jiro Kyoka's face stiffened as she spoke. It had only been about a year, and the Ezaki Kitazawa she once knew had become someone completely unrecognizable.
"Ezaki-kun...?"
"You're messing with me, right? You're telling me this guy is a first-year at U.A.? Are you sure he's not some genius pro hero?"
Melissa could no longer stay calm.
At the same time, over on All Might's side, their reaction was just as intense. For a moment, even the battle stopped. All Might recalled what Night Eye had told him before—that in the near future, Ezaki Kitazawa would stand atop a thousand-armed giant and change a future that was supposed to end in death.
"So this is the thousand-armed giant Night Eye predicted? I thought it would be the same size as the last one... but this? This thing could block out the sky. Ezaki, kid... you're really scaring me right now."
All Might muttered to himself. Todoroki Shoto and Bakugo Katsuki also looked grim.
"Heh..."
Bakugo suddenly let out a laugh.
"What the hell? Why is this guy even bothering with U.A.? He should just go be a pro hero already!"
"I thought I was prepared for anything, but after seeing his ultimate move, I realized I wasn't prepared at all."
Todoroki spoke in a low voice.
To be honest, seeing this thousand-armed statue shook Wolfram. He had put on the device developed by David, and his Quirk had indeed gotten a massive boost. Using it, he had gathered a huge amount of metal together, forming a massive metal giant. But Ezaki Kitazawa's thousand-armed Buddha statue could grab his metal giant with just one hand. That alone showed how massive True Thousand Hands really was.
"Get out of the way! Leave this to me!"
Ezaki Kitazawa shouted. Hearing this, All Might and the others quickly moved to the side.
"Don't say I'm bullying you. I'll let you use both hands."
Ezaki Kitazawa called out to Wolfram.
"Kacchan..."
"Kacchan..."
As soon as Ezaki Kitazawa finished speaking, the thousand-armed Buddha statue began to move. The ground shook noticeably. Seeing this, Wolfram couldn't pretend he wasn't panicking.
"Did I get bad intel? Is this guy really a first-year at U.A.? Or is he actually some ridiculously strong pro hero? What's their goal? Are they trying to make me underestimate him?"
Thoughts raced through Wolfram's mind, but he quickly shook his head. This wasn't the time for overthinking.
"Stay calm. His Quirk is wood, mine is metal. Metal can tear through wood in seconds."
Wolfram reassured himself.
The next moment, he swung his arms. A faint blue light flashed from his hands, and countless metal spikes shot toward the thousand-armed Buddha statue.
"Looks like this is his final attack."
Standing atop the statue, Ezaki Kitazawa muttered. Then, he moved his arms.
"Top Mode—Buddha!"
As his voice fell, the thousand-armed Buddha statue's hands began to move, like thousands of sharp arrows.
