Ron took Kevin home as he was told. Gave him the money Spirit had told him to and went back. Kevin was relived to see his grandma lying peacefully on her bed. He went and changed and sat down thinking about what happened earlier. He felt like it was a dream. In just a day he had to digest so many information. As he was lost he in thought, he heard his grandma's voice. He turned and saw her sitting on the bed lazily. He smiled and went to her ready to pour out excuses but what he realised was his grandma didn't remember what happened earlier. She seemed normal not asking about anything and Kevin was now sure that hus grandma was in a deep sleep at that time. He tactfully diverted the conversation and said
" Grandma, I got good news. Today I met a friend while helping aunt Tina at the market. He asked me of my name and several other questions. Then he said he liked me and wanted to take me to school. "
He lied without battling an eye. His grandma became suspicious and asked
" A friend. Do you really know him "
" yes grandma, I've known him for some time. You know, he used to by ingredients from me at the shop and he wants to send me to school "
Kevin answered. But his grandma wasn't satisfied with the answer
" Do you really trust this man. Does he want nothing in return. "
" don't worry grandma, he is not a bad person "
" OK " And this was how thier conversation came to an end. Although, the old woman didn't feel comfortable with the idea, she decided to trust his grandson. After all he is not easy to decieve even though he was young and besides she can't afford to enroll him in a school. She knew very well how Kevin liked the idea of going to school, since someone else could help him achieve his dreams, she won't be a stumbling rock in his way. She sighed heavily, if only she could contact those people things would have been more easier for them and Linda wouldn't have also run away. Her granddaughter's sudden disappearance was a sore spot in her heart and she always blamed herself for been the reason.
Meanwhile Kevin went and told his only friend Mike on what happened to him. Another person Kevin really trusted was Mike. He just told him without second thought and Mike was astonished upon hearing it. He tried persuading Kevin into to reporting the incident to the police, but Kevin vehemently refused. He couldn't risk his precious grandma's life and besides there were some advantages in that mafia group. After several persuasions, Mike finally sighed in defeat and only told him to be careful. Kevin then told him not to tell it to anyone and he instantly agreed.
Later on Ron made all the necessary arrangements and enrolled Kevin in an extravagant school. He had already met Kevin grandma and told her how he liked Kevin and how much he wanted to help him. Kevin's grandma had scrutinised him thought deeply
" He seem to be capable of helping Kevin with his schooling but he seemed young but matured. Around the ages of 18 or so. "
She asked him a few questions and he gave her some 'honest' answers which made the old woman satisfied that she continously thanked him. After these incidents, Kevin was finally able to go to school and words could not describe his happiness. After some few days in school, Kevin begun with his mission. He didn't had to wait because most at times, when he sees money, the irresistible urge will come making it impossible for him not to steal. Especially, when it has been so long since he last took in dome medicines. The children in the school were mostly super ridh and didn't care about some few missing cash. This made Kevin's work much easier. He would also steal from the proprietor, and other staffs and never was he caught. In doing those act, he was as vigilant as the one who came up with the word vigilant. Not to mention his academics, he never joked with his studies and always excell in the class. Most of the teachers liked him and always praised him. He had a very innocent face making it difficult to associate him with something bad. If only they knew what he did in secret. Besides it wasn't entirely his fault, he was also a victim suffering from this rare disorder. In order to help himself, he divided the money he got every day into five part. He would take one-fifth of the money and store It secretly and only gave fourth-five of the money to Spirit. He gathered the money well and once he made sure it was enough, he used it to buy himself some of the drugs. Although the drugs couldn't totally eliminate the disease, he thought that at least it can help reduce the symptoms. Ron also frequently visited them in the house. Grandma suspected nothing and instead liked his company, praising him with every chance she got. During this period, Kevin and Ron's relationship grew. Ron begun to like Kevin's company unknowingly likewise Kevin. Not to forget of Spirit, he also paid for all of Kevin's expenses. He still treated Kevin differently and no one still knew why. Kevin's life seemed to be now stable and he liked it. Expect for some missions like drug trafficking, money laundering and his usual stealing, his life seemed normal and perfect.
Everything changed when the little guy suddenly came home one day and met his grandma's lifeless body on the bed. At that instance, he turned insane all of a sudden. His grandma was his everything and he couldn't believe her sudden death. Nothing was wrong with his grandma, she was perfectly fine when he left for school do how come the old woman suddenly dies. He immediately suspected that she was killed and went to confront Spirit furiously but of course Spirit denied it and accused Kevin of slandering him. Saying that what would he gain from killing the old woman. Kevin knew it made sense but still suspected Spirit. That man was very cunning and cruel. Besides his guts told him that Spirit has killed his grandma, but upon getting no solid evidence. He made the matter rest for the mean time but vowed to get his revenge for the old woman. Friends and neighbours helped to perform a small funeral for the old woman but Kevin didn't like it, his grandma deserved the best even when it came to funeral. People sympathised with the child knowing he was all alone now. First his sister disappeared and now his last relative died. But Kevin cared less that he was alone and instead made up his mind to find the old woman's murderer and he was sure he would never forgive that person expecially if it was Spirit. He never knew that his life was now going to take a completely new term.
