Chapter 78 - CHAPTER 78 - Where Are the School Rules?

"Alright, what happened next?" Robert asked, curious. "What happened? Did Wood jump up from the ground and scare the two of them?"

Fred rolled his eyes. "Come on, mate, you know that's impossible."

George chuckled. "Wood was so scared that he lay on the ground for a while, not daring to get up. Then he heard the two of them talking."

"Talking?" Robert was puzzled. "What could they be talking about?"

"It was Cedric inviting a junior to practice Quidditch together, saying it would help improve their skills," Fred said with a grin. "That's when Wood realized they were both Hogwarts students. But if he stood up then, it would have been so awkward."

"So he started recalling the results of his training that afternoon," George added.

"You know, the place where he fell was pretty dark," Fred shrugged. "Very dark, no light, and no one around to cast a Lumos spell."

George summed it up, "In short, it was a place where light couldn't reach, perfect for hiding."

"Then the castle lights came on, shining right on Cedric and the little Ravenclaw," Fred said in a soft voice. "Imagine, in the orange light, Cedric's careful movements and gentle expression were fully illuminated."

Robert thought about it but didn't find anything special. "So he was just being gentle? What's the big deal? You're the same when you're coaching Angelina."

Fred gave him a deadpan look. "That's different. I'm coaching a junior."

"Angelina is the same age as you! What junior? Well, she did join the team a few days after you. Anyway, go on, what happened next?" Robert didn't want to argue and was eager to hear more gossip.

Fred shrugged and continued, "Then? Wood said Cedric was a bit too enthusiastic."

"What?" Robert was confused. "Cedric enthusiastic? My God, what did he do that was so enthusiastic?"

"Oh, he basically explained all the tactical moves. If the girl's friend hadn't come to get her, Wood thought he might have even revealed Hufflepuff's strategies," Fred shrugged. "I think it's fine. We often explain things to new team members, but rarely in such detail to students from other houses."

Robert looked serious. "That's not a good sign, Fred."

Fred was puzzled. "What do you mean?"

"If Cedric really tells the Ravenclaws everything about Quidditch, do you know what will happen this year?" Robert said gravely.

"What will happen?" Fred asked instinctively.

Robert waved his arms and exclaimed, "Ravenclaw will win the House Cup!"

Fred was stunned, then said indignantly, "Exactly! Those Ravenclaws did the same last year. This year, we have to make them pay!"

What?

Robert was confused. What exactly are you thinking?

George nodded. "Right, we've decided. This year, no matter what happens, we're dragging Ravenclaw into it!"

"We must remember all the ways to deduct points..." Fred recalled and asked his brother, "By the way, does the 'Hogwarts School Rules' book actually exist?"

George also shook his head in confusion.

They both looked at Robert, who also shook his head, and they gave up.

"Really, there's no such book?" Fred asked, unwilling to let it go.

Robert shrugged. "Hey, Fred, you're overthinking it. That kind of thing would definitely be kept somewhere safe, like the Headmaster's office. As long as the professors know the specific rules, that's enough. If the students knew, they'd find loopholes and cause trouble!"

Fred and George sighed.

"By the way, I heard that this year's Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Ms. Mary, has a different opinion about the curse on the position?" Robert looked at the twins. "I heard she plans to continue teaching next year?"

Fred scratched his head, unsure. "Yes, I heard she plans to use some special method to break the curse and then continue teaching us."

"Special method?" Robert was puzzled. "Do you know what it is? I don't like curses, but I'm interested in breaking them."

After a moment, he added, "Especially this kind of curse on something intangible like a course."

Fred thought for a moment and said doubtfully, "Honestly, mate, I'd like to know too, but the professor didn't say."

Robert nodded in understanding. "It might be some kind of family secret or something."

"By the way!" George clapped his hands excitedly. "Robert, do you have any thoughts about the Forbidden Forest?"

Robert panicked for a moment. Did these two notice me sneaking into the Forbidden Forest recently?

Then he realized it was impossible. He had been wearing his invisibility cloak and chose dark spots to avoid trouble. There was no way the twins could have seen where he was going.

He calmed down and casually replied, "Of course, it's the Forbidden Forest! The place the professors keep warning us not to enter. Don't you have any thoughts about it?"

The twins exchanged a look, their expressions saying, "We knew it."

"Ding ding ding!" They pulled out a map and explained mysteriously.

"We found this in the library, hidden in a book," Fred explained. "Look, this marks a building."

Robert took the map and was stunned to find it wasn't a map at all—it was just a doodle! A large circle represented the Forbidden Forest, with a pointed tower-like structure in the lower middle, surrounded by some skulls and a few faintly drawn paths. That was it.

Staring at the map in his hand, Robert looked at the twins. "You're not planning to go explore, are you?"

The twins smiled charmingly. "We're planning to go during Christmas."

Robert frowned, concerned. "How about asking Hagrid first?"

"Hey, mate, we just want to explore. If we tell Hagrid, he'll definitely tell Headmaster Dumbledore!" Fred complained. "That would ruin the fun of uncovering the secrets of the Forbidden Forest!"

"Besides, there are a lot of herbs in the forest. We can collect some for experiments," George explained cheerfully.

Alright, that's probably the main point.
