Chapter 275 - Chapter 275: Son Goku vs Raditz

While a group of people gathered in Bulma's large dining room for dinner, Bardock flew to the Kame House.

With his Super Saiyan speed, he completed the round trip in no time.

Moreover, Yamiru couldn't help but feel that Bardock seemed to have reached full Super Saiyan power. If Bardock was truly at full Super Saiyan power, his combat strength and speed would be off the charts!

Yamiru wasn't daring enough to use his Golden Veil and Golden Gazer to look directly at Bardock in his Super Saiyan state—his eyes would probably hurt!

At the dining table, Raditz ate voraciously. Earth's food was so delicious that even gods would want to try it, let alone someone like him, who already had a monstrous appetite.

As a fellow Saiyan, Gine also had a large appetite. With the joy of having a son tonight, she ate even more happily.

Tonight had been full of surprises—Bardock had truly transformed into a Super Saiyan, possibly at full power; Raditz had arrived early on Earth, looking like he planned to stay. Yamiru thought to himself that he might need to remind Bardock to go deal with the elusive Dr. Gero, and perhaps kick the demon egg out of the solar system. But... wasn't this killing the tournament decades early? Forget about Yamiru—there wouldn't even be a role for Son Goku at this rate! Bardock was truly overpowered! Who would have thought that, after finding the right training path, Bardock would have reached full Super Saiyan state so quickly?

As Yamiru thought about it, he started to get hungry and decided to join in on the meal to ease his mind.

But, all in all, these were good developments! For Earth, and for the righteous side...

Not long later, halfway through the meal, with only a dozen or so empty bowls stacked in front of Raditz, Gine, and their son, Bardock, who had flown off to fetch someone, returned.

He left and came back in no time—his efficiency was incredible!

"Yo, Goku," Yamiru waved his chopsticks and greeted him while continuing to eat, "Long time no see!"

The golden-haired Bardock gently placed Son Goku down, and Goku grinned, saying, "Hey there, Yamiru! You've gotten stronger!"

Yamiru raised an eyebrow and smiled, "Oh, it's nothing special, I'm still far behind you."

Son Goku chuckled, "I really want to fight you again!"

"You'll have the chance..." Yamiru murmured, glanced at his bowl, put his chopsticks down, and said, "Goku, let's make a deal!"

"A deal?" Son Goku, who was observing Raditz sitting next to his mother, his tail clearly showing his identity, asked, puzzled, "What deal?"

"Let's both enter the 21st Tenkaichi Budokai in five years!" Yamiru said slowly but firmly. "Then we'll have a showdown in the arena, how about it?"

"Ah, sure!" Son Goku grinned, "I'll work even harder to train!"

Yamiru smiled and clenched his fist, signaling that he wouldn't easily give up either.

The 21st Tenkaichi Budokai—the first tournament that Son Goku and Krillin participated in! Only five years left? Time really flies! Yamiru couldn't help but feel a bit nostalgic.

Budokai? Raditz, still eating furiously, perked up his ears, confused and not understanding what a Budokai was.

However...

While eating, he glanced toward the small boy walking over.

So this is Kakarot? He looks just like when he was a kid, and he's exactly like Dad!

"What do you want?" Raditz coldly snapped, stopping Son Goku from coming any closer. "Don't try to get close to me! Even if you're my brother, with your low battle power, I don't want to associate with you. It's too embarrassing."

Gine frowned and set down her chopsticks. "Raditz, how can you say that!"

"It's the truth!" Raditz scoffed, and even thought Gine's attitude was problematic. If they were so friendly to weaklings, then the Saiyans would be doomed! Although, the Saiyans were already doomed... He was sneering when, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Bardock's cold expression as he sat down beside Gine. Raditz immediately froze, and his body hair stood on end. In that instant when his father sat down, it seemed like Bardock shot him a cold glance! Raditz's hand shook, and he nearly poked the sauce-covered fish ball into his nose. Any disrespectful words he had left for Gine were swallowed right back down.

"From now on, you'll live here on Earth with your mother and me," Bardock said as he took the large tray from Mrs. Brief, nodding his thanks before turning coldly to address his eldest son. "You are not allowed to leave our sight until your mother and I decide you can live here on Earth independently. You will not leave Earth, and you will not have any contact with the Freeza Force. Do you understand?"

"Huh? Why?" Raditz couldn't take it anymore. "What kind of rule is that?"

Bardock turned and stared directly into Raditz's eyes. "I said it. Do you have a problem with that?"

"Raditz, you've developed too many bad habits from being on Planet Vegeta and with the Freeza Force..." Gine, aware this wasn't the time to be soft, stepped in to help, "It's too easy for you to hurt other people on Earth if you're alone."

Raditz was even more confused. "So what if that happens?"

He didn't see killing a few Earthlings as a big deal. After all, isn't it natural for the strong to dominate the weak? If he had the ability to kill them, then it was normal to do so if he didn't feel like it. However… as Raditz noticed his father's gaze again, he shut his mouth and nodded obediently.

He didn't understand what had happened, but it seemed that, aside from becoming invincibly strong, his father had also become much kinder—at least toward everyone except Raditz! Every time Bardock looked at him, Raditz felt like his father was inspecting a product, as though his eyes were saying, "You'd better behave yourself, or you'll get a taste of hardcore Saiyan style." Faced with Bardock's golden iron fist, Raditz could only back down.

"You can't bully the weak," Son Goku said to Raditz at that moment. "Master Roshi's been teaching me this recently. A martial artist must be at peace with their heart."

"What martial artist, who cares about you!" Raditz snapped, annoyed, and couldn't resist raising his foot to give the naive little brother a greeting. "Stop bothering me."

Unexpectedly, Son Goku raised his hand and grabbed Raditz's foot.

With a serious expression, Son Goku said, "I don't understand a lot of what Grandpa says, but… I still want to fight you!"

"You!" Raditz growled. He had already been disrespected enough by Prince Vegeta, mocked by Nappa, and ridiculed by other high-ranking warriors in the Freeza Force, but now Kakarot, this lower-class scum, was provoking him too?

Enraged, Raditz charged at Son Goku, ignoring the warnings from his parents.

The table, nearly tipped over by the force of the impact, was gently pressed back down by Bardock, who then stopped Gine from rushing to intervene. "It's just a fight, nothing to worry about."

"Fine," Gine said reluctantly. As a Saiyan, while she didn't like conflict, she wasn't opposed to fighting either. Plus, she trusted Bardock—she knew he wouldn't let the two boys do anything that could cause serious problems.

Looking over at the other side of the table, Yamiru already followed the brothers, using his sharp senses to closely watch them from behind the wall. Raditz's power level seemed to be around 300-400, while Son Goku was still unable to enter the Spiritual Realm, clearly surpassing 200, but still weaker than Raditz. However, Goku was an expert in martial arts, and it was hard to say who would come out on top in a fight between them!
