Chapter 110 - Chapter 110: I Got You!

The wind howled, and between the roaring sea and sky stood only two figures—two human-shaped monsters.

Ryan still had some power left. He ignored the tornadoes roaring behind him and simply raised his head to look at the girl in the sky.

Her white suspender skirt was blown by the breeze, revealing her slender legs. Despite the destruction she had caused, she almost looked pitiful.

But Ryan tensed every muscle, relying on his sharp vision to observe every detail of her face.

Indifference, murderous intent, and nothing else. Even though he had anticipated this outcome, he still sighed slightly.

In the previous civilization, Herrschers were familiar killers. Their personalities were destroyed the moment they became Herrschers, and only their memories remained.

"Let's talk. Since you can set up such a trap, even if you lack humanity, your intelligence and communication skills are still intact. Just as I'm curious about why you're targeting me, you must also have many questions."

Ryan spread his hands, as if he had no intention of fighting at all, but his mind was more focused than ever, analyzing every detail.

"Doubts are meaningless to me."

The sound came from all around, emotionless. Ryan noticed that she hadn't opened her mouth.

Is she using air resonance to speak? Can't these Herrschers just have a conversation?

This wasn't leading anywhere. Ryan held his temper, seeming more relaxed: "Then can I at least know why you went to so much trouble to kill me?"

"Outsiders, your journey ends here."

Ryan's pupils shrank slightly. He was certain now that this Herrscher was after him, and her forbearance and murderous intent were directed solely at him.

Do you know who I am? How did you know I would come?

The Herrscher didn't bother explaining. She simply took advantage of Ryan's brief distraction and gently raised her right hand.

The invisible air rapidly compressed and then exploded with a deafening roar. As soon as Ryan came to his senses, he felt an enormous wave slam into him.

Boom!

The air roared. This wasn't even matter—he couldn't decompose it. He was plummeting rapidly from a thousand meters high. The strong wind whistling past his ears shocked him back into focus.

Now is not the time to think about those things—just save your life first.

Ryan calmed his mind, no longer confused. He could hear the tornadoes rapidly approaching him, along with the screams from the sky.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

Dozens of water columns erupted from the sea, and invisible wind blades sliced the sea into pieces, creating a violent storm, bombarded with flashing lightning.

Occasionally, lightning would strike from the sky, but the Herrscher of Wind didn't even glance at it, as if she were dancing in the thunder.

Her speed wasn't fast, but she was incredibly agile, like a fish in water.

Ryan dodged and counterattacked simultaneously. Within two rounds, he had already tested the depth of the Herrscher of Wind's power. It wasn't like she was floating at all, but more like she was blending into the wind.

There was no way to track her movements. No matter how powerful her authority, it was meaningless if she couldn't hit him—at least not from this distance.

Just like in online games, how could a warrior fight against a mage? Besides, the mage isn't a fool, so how could she let herself get close for no reason?

Boom!

A water column exploded on the sea surface, and Ryan dove into the water. The dark sea isolated him from the storm, and the cold water helped calm his mind.

The good news was that her Honkai energy cap was at most 2200HW, lower than the Herrscher of Thunder's. The bad news was that she was an elite Fire Moth soldier—far more professional than an orphanage caregiver.

Just as Ryan was thinking, he saw a white dot suddenly appear in the sea, followed by a rapid expansion of the air around it. Due to the density of seawater, the energy released was even stronger.

Water explosion?!

Gu—Boom!

The sea surface arched upward, and then a kilometer-wide splash of water exploded, creating a massive pit. Ryan was ejected, struggling to suppress the blood rushing up his throat.

The impact was overwhelming, causing internal injuries.

He didn't care about the injuries. He flew horizontally over the sea, watching the air twist and water explode on either side, as if an invisible hand was crushing it.

"This is really troublesome, Herrscher. If I didn't have authority, I wouldn't even have a chance to survive on this sea."

Ryan realized the Herrscher of Wind was controlling the airflow, making it sharp and condensed—both offensive and defensive. The strength of the powers was equal, but there were differences in restraint. Thunder couldn't restrain the wind, so it all depended on who had more Honkai energy.

The amount of Honkai energy determines endurance and the upper limit of power. Fortunately, the authority of thunder...

"The main focus is explosive power!"

As the giant wind blade cut through the sea surface, Ryan tossed out a handful of liquid metal blocks, and when the opportunity arose, he punched.

A railgun!

Electric arcs surged as the projectile accelerated to several times the speed of sound, hurtling straight into the sky with a piercing scream.

Rose gave up on attacking and spread her wings, condensing an invisible wall a hundred meters thick in front of her. She saw the projectiles slowing down continuously.

"It's useless."

The distance was too far, and even the electromagnetic cannon lost its kinetic energy before it reached her. But in the next moment, purple lightning illuminated her childish face.

Boom!

A bolt of lightning, more than ten meters thick, struck down onto her head with far more power than the electromagnetic cannon. Yet, the Herrscher of Wind didn't even glance at it.

Bang!

The compressed air exploded, accelerating her hundreds of meters in an instant. Not only could she blend into the wind, but her acceleration at the critical moment was even faster than Ryan's.

"But you can't adjust the direction!" Ryan ignored the gathering tornado, casually threw 'Chi Xiao' away, stepped on the sea with both feet, and raised his palm to strike.

Thunder opens the sky!

There was no sound of wind, only flashes of lightning. If the electromagnetic cannon was fast and the lightning was very fast, then this flash of lightning was beyond fast.

One step after another, not just mastery, but subtly in line with the meaning of thunder.

Fast and direct—destroying everything like a violent storm!

The Herrscher of Wind quickly stepped aside and saw the lightning penetrate the invisible wall, brushing past her body and charging straight into the sky. She felt her body go numb from the residual force of the Honkai energy.

She lowered her head, her eyes flashing.

Not finished yet?

She couldn't see Ryan, only the sea surface that had sunken like the ground. The residual force from Ryan's full-strength jump was obvious. She subconsciously spread out her hands, crossing them before throwing them down.

Gas bomb.

She couldn't see its trajectory at all. She could only hear the sharp "whoosh" sound. Ryan shot straight into the sky, not even thinking about avoiding it.

The advantage of the power of thunder was its speed, but it was also its weakness. Ryan could exert all his energy at once, and if forced to retreat, he'd have no chance of winning.

Charge hard!

Boom boom boom...

The roar of the gas explosions came from all directions. These attacks were invisible, but the energy released was enough to smash a warship weighing thousands of tons into a discus. When it hit Ryan, it felt like a dull fist pounding into his body.

Stop her—he must stop her!

Ryan seemed to lose consciousness. His eyes locked onto the Herrscher of Wind flying in the air, meeting those cold eyes.

Her eyes were filled with murderous intent and arrogance. She didn't pause. After calculating her interception, she continued to accelerate using air bursts.

"You don't stand a chance."

She was getting faster and faster, making slight changes in direction, with no intention of racing against Ryan. She was heading straight for the dozens of tornadoes.

The things "created" by the Herrscher of Wind wouldn't vanish in a flash like thunder. The "wind formation," which could attack and defend, still existed. She wanted to see if Ryan would rush in.

Advancing meant death; retreating also meant death. Such unscrupulous attacks would rapidly drain energy.

"Sure enough, the difference in carriers shows a huge disparity in combat power. Even with weaker energy, it's much harder to deal with than the Herrscher of Thunder."

Ryan gritted his teeth. He had no chance to display all his skills. What could he do in such a desperate situation?

"Of course, it's to integrate the meaning of thunder and lightning and move forward courageously."

The idealistic concept of "intention" is difficult for others to understand, but for those on the path of destiny, it's something that can be easily grasped.

No need to think, no hesitation—just use this energy and authority to the fullest.

Circles of electric arcs surrounded Ryan, forming a path of thunder that extended forward rapidly.

What does he want to do?

The Herrscher of Wind, flying with her wings spread, turned around and saw coil-like arcs extending ahead. At a glance, there were ten coils.

The man floating at the center raised his hand, grabbing the long sword that was spinning and falling from the air. The whistling sea and roaring tornadoes went silent in an instant, and the only thing the Herrscher saw in her lavender eyes was the man holding the sword.

Countless arcs of electricity surrounded her body and connected to the coil. This scene reminded her of the previous attack. She turned around quickly, spreading her wings to the maximum.

He wants to transform into...

Using his body as thunder, purple lightning flashed!

The sea and sky were dead silent. Ryan poured all his strength into it, firing himself out like an electromagnetic cannonball. Any adjectives describing speed became irrelevant at this moment. Only purple lightning dissipated, then exploded in front of the air wall set up by the Herrscher of Wind.

BOOM!

The teeth-grinding sonic boom came from afar, followed by a burst of brilliant white smoke, thunder and air intertwined, coloring the sky purple.

So fast.

The Herrscher of Wind only thought this before raising her arms, gathering an invisible giant spear, and thrusting it forward with all her might.

Boom!!

There was a loud explosion, and the air wall was directly pierced. The Herrscher of Wind felt the energy hit her, sending her flying above the clouds.

What incredible force.

She watched as the sea shrank and herself moved away from the tornado's nest, but she didn't care because a head suddenly emerged from the white smoke in front of her.

The head was covered in spider-web-like arcs of electricity, the skin blackened from the ultra-high-speed friction, and the shoulders shattered from the collision. This appearance made him look more like a devil than the Herrscher of Wind.

Ryan opened his dry mouth, releasing hot smoke, and slowly raised his head to look at Rose face.

"Finally... I caught you!"
