The carriage stopped in front of the Arlen mansion, and Crown Prince Rahegar, the most annoying royal I've ever met, glanced at me with a smirk.
"We're here, Lady Cecilia."
I blinked. "Uh… yeah. Thanks."
For some damn reason, my legs refused to move properly. Was it from all that twirling? All that dancing? Or was it because that bastard had his hands on my waist way too much tonight? WAY TOO MUCH.
Whatever the reason, I shook it off and hurried out before my dumb brain started making up nonsense. For one last time, I turned back and bowed.
"Thank you for dropping me, Your Highness."
He nodded, his damn smirk still in place. "See you soon, Lady Cecilia."
I forced a stiff-ass smile and nodded back. Ugh. Why does his voice sound like he knows something I don't? Standing there, I watched as his carriage rolled off into the night. Once the carriage finally disappeared down the road, I let out a long, dramatic sigh and stomped towards my room.
