He didn't have much time to ponder on the issues, so he changed his aura to block only physical attacks because he knew his face burning was significantly better than having his head pierced by a spear.
The aura around him changed once again as Zaroth's spear collided with his head, unable to pierce it. In the next moment, Brian's hair and eyebrows caught aflame.
He screamed in pain as he took a step back, trying to compose himself, but Zaroth, with eyes like those of a predator, had already thrust again toward Brian's head.
This time, Brian wasn't paying attention, and as such, he wouldn't be able to block the attack.
