Once Leon left, Radulf brought Zenna to the chamber. The servants were dismissed as he desired to speak in private with her.
Zenna rested on the chaise. "Don't act brazenly from the next time. Father is hellbent to destroy you. And don't mind Prince Leon's words. He wanted to provoke you so that you could tell the truth," she stated.
When Radulf didn't respond, Zenna lifted her head and found him lost, his gaze was fixed on her.
"Say something," Zenna said.
"Don't protect me like that," Radulf replied and sat on the same chaise.
"Why? Prince Leon could have dragged you to the palace for further investigation. Don't you think you need to do something about it? Father is a dangerous man," she muttered, feeling worried suddenly.
Radulf wryly laughed, confusing her. He tilted his head. "And I am more dangerous than your father," he stated. "What he did to my family, won't happen to me."
