"Apologize? Why should I do that?" Rafulf asked. "Whatever I said to him was true. I am not a people pleaser like you, Zenna."
The moment he said those words, he realized he should not have.
"I–I didn't mean to direct these remarks at you," Radulf said.
"Is it wrong to be a people pleaser?" Zenna questioned him. "As long as your work will be done, there's nothing wrong with it. It's fine if you don't want to apologize to Alfred. Because I will do it." She took a few steps back before walking toward the exit.
Radulf blocked her path and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Maybe it's not wrong. But I don't want to please Alfred. I hope you listen to me," he said.
"Don't you want revenge on the Alpha King?" Zenna asked him.
