The moment he said those words, he realized he should not have.
"I–I didn't mean to direct these remarks at you," Radulf said.
"Is it wrong to be a people pleaser?" Zenna questioned him. "As long as your work will be done, there's nothing wrong with it. It's fine if you don't want to apologize to Alfred. Because I will do it." She took a few steps back before walking toward the exit.
Radulf blocked her path and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Maybe it's not wrong. But I don't want to please Alfred. I hope you listen to me," he said.
