Ruston shook his head slightly. "I don't know either," he admitted. "But instead of guessing, we can simply ask him."
Namari followed Ruston's gaze back to the fox child—no, to Renan.
Ruston looked directly at the transformed boy and asked, "Renan, how did you turn into a fox?"
"Huh," Renan looked at them in confusion. 'How did they figure out it was me so quickly? Well, whatever, at least I don't have to explain that part. Now I just need to tell them how I turned into this, even though I don't fully understand it myself. But at the very least, I know what caused it,' he thought.
He opened his mouth and spoke, his voice slightly different but still recognizable. "It's because of the golden energy inside me," he answered.
