One of the other cloaked figures took her wand as she fussed. She tapped the wand twice as the thumps reverberated through the crowd.
"A sound spell huh, you're pretty crafty."
"Well, I do love to make appearances…now if you wouldn't mind—"
Melanie reached for the wand quickly only to completely miss and fall on her face in front of everyone. Some chuckles followed as Melanie got up from the ground a bit flustered from the happening but she put a smile on her face once more. The woman who grabbed the wand seemed more standoffish and monotone from her voice alone, but the surprise in the students showed once she began to speak to them. She wore her uniform differently from the others, showing off her abs proudly as some students marveled at such a display.
"Alright, my name is Zinia Grossberg, I've been teaching Battle Tactics here for some years now, and I want you all to know that if you join my class at any point and half-ass your way in my presence…"
She then made a motion with the wand, acting as if she was cutting her own neck to demonstrate what would happen. Some gulps and whimpers were heard from the crowd.
"I'll personally make sure to gut you like a fish. I won't tolerate weakness, nor any funny business on my time, do you understand me!?"
"Yes ma'am!" the students yelled in response, half of them not even realizing they were listening to her demands without even knowing why, even Dante had responded much to his surprise.
"She reminds me a bit of Rita."
"I can see it oddly enough…" Terra responded as the wand was then handed over to a man with long silver hair. His face was as serious as ever as he looked amongst the crowd. Discernment filled his eyes as he took a deep breath before speaking.
"Half of you won't make it through the year, if you enter this academy with the mindset you had before attending. There will be others waiting for your spots, more hungry, more fierce and more conniving then you'd think. Be wary and prepared as this academy will turn you into upstanding citizens and even better mages. So be prepared for the work you must endure. If you can't handle that, then leave and go home. We don't have time for waste."
