"AHHHHHHHHHH!" its screech bounced off of the walls and into Jarrett's ears. Nearly causing him to pass out from the sheer power of their wails. He gained sense and pushed her back with a quick wind spell with his free hand holding his wand. She fell back quickly until slowly rising again as the draped hood she wore fell off of her head and revealed her true identity.
"It's a lake banshee! Jarrett, get away from her!" He yelled as he prepared himself to get into another fight. Iris had drawn her wand and pointed it at the creature, in anticipation of its next move.
The creature quickly lunged forward once more, attempting to latch onto Jarret who quickly cast a spell on himself to escape from the possible clutch of the lake banshee.
"Celeri!"
He quickly stepped back as the same teal light covered his body, making his way back to the group. He wiped at the bloodied scratch that he received from the banshee. Azuri turned to the group as the sound of the water began to move around within the lake.
"T-there's more coming!" Iris yelled as everyone paid attention to the water, seeing multiple bodies rising from the water, matching the look of the one from before. They all slowly began to walk in their direction as the one from before pointed at their group.
"Everyone! Into formation!" Azuri yelled as she quickly ascended into the sky as she began to chant quickly. She knew this wasn't what she'd typically see in the dungeon, so something felt off the moment a monster like this had spawned into this location. She looked around to see if the orb following them was still there, but it seemed to be nowhere to be found.
"This isn't good, look over there!" Nolan yelled as he turned back to see a small horde of four lizardmen appear. Bigger than the kobolds, but equipped with bigger weapons and armor. They screeched out a war cry, ready to attack. Azuri's attention had been captured as she tried to figure out what to do in the moment. Before a flash of fire ignited quickly in the center of the group.
"Dante–!"
"Starless!?"
"You–!"
The others stared as his sword ignited a bright flame, one they'd never seen him produce before, as his spell casting was all but intimidating. Though as his grip on the handle of his sword got tighter, he stared intensely at the lizardmen and called out.
"Nolan, block off the banshee's and help corner them for Azuri and Jarrett's attacks, Iris you're with me let's go!" He said as he quickly dashed forward, like a blaze of light. His sword followed his large swing, creating an arc of fire along the ground, causing the lizardmen to step back quickly to avoid the flames.
"Flame Arc!"
He yelled as the flame rose from the ground and stayed burning, keeping the lizardmen away from the group. Iris' eyes widened at the sight of his flame. It was a far cry from what he'd done back during their entrance test. This was a whole new flame she'd seen from him.
"When did you–"
"I've been practicing too y'know, now let's show these monsters what we got!"
