Alina opened her mouth slightly, her eyes pleading.
"Eric, hold her." Tang Rao spoke indifferently.
Without thinking, Eric grabbed Alina's hand firmly, his gaze resolute.
He knew he couldn't match the Pope in intelligence or bravery, so it was better to let Tang Rao take over.
He trusted Tang Rao.
"Pope, what is the meaning of this?" the Pope looked at Tang Rao, his cloudy aged eyes shooting out a sharp light.
"What do you mean what does it mean? I've already told Sola that if you agree to let Alina and Eric be together, then we can talk. If not, I'm sorry, but I really can't be bothered to waste words with you. I ask you, did Sola not tell you this?" Tang Rao inquired.
The Pope furrowed his brow—though they had just met, he already felt that Tang Rao was not someone to be trifled with.
Not only was this guy strong, but his intelligence was not to be underestimated either.
