The banquet continued with groups and individuals chatting mostly about money-related matters.
Yang Fan and Murong Yan stayed there for a while until Murong Yan, wearing high heels, grew tired. "Let's go sit for a bit."
Yang Fan helped Murong Yan walk over and seated her on a sofa. Yang Fan stood back up, ready to go talk to Shi Qinghua and the others when a waiter carrying a tray accidentally bumped into him, spilling an entire glass of champagne all over Yang Fan.
"Sorry, sir. I sincerely apologize," the waiter quickly said.
Yang Fan glanced at him, a very ordinary server; understanding that life is hard for common people, he wasn't too bothered. Taking a napkin from the waiter, he wiped himself off dismissively, "Forget it, just my bad luck."
Watching Shi Qinghua and Gao Yang approach, Yang Fan said to Murong Yan, who was sitting on the sofa, "I'll go to the restroom and be right back."
