Chen Yue made a mark and continued reading.
Whenever inspiration struck, she would make more marks among these teams.
But suddenly, she heard footsteps outside.
Someone was coming.
Which was quite a surprise to her.
"Any recent tasks?"
She wondered to herself.
Perhaps a new task had arrived.
She didn't pay much attention to it,
continuing to read her book, and soon she felt someone standing in front of her.
Then, a respectful voice followed.
"Senior Sister Chen."
The voice surprised Chen Yue.
She remembered this voice; it was that disciple who was almost certainly not expected to return.
Chen Yue looked up, her gaze met with a middle-aged man with a bit of stubble and a few strands of white hair.
The man seemed spirited.
But not shrewd, he rather gave off the impression of someone who could be easily taken advantage of.
"How did you make it back?" asked Chen Yue.
She was genuinely curious.
By all accounts, the person before her shouldn't have been able to return.
