Chapter 17 - Chapter 12 The Farthest Distance in the World

"Xiaoqi, if you live, I live; if you die, I die," the tall and handsome man declared, his eyes soft with tenderness, making a lifelong promise.

The King of Spies, Liao, forever the backbone and guardian of Yue Xiaoqi.

The face of Liao and the face of the man a hundred meters away merged together, almost ninety-nine percent alike, leaving Yue Jinghua's heart slightly bitter.

Having been in the Canglong Continent for a month now, Yue Jinghua knew she could never return.

Surrounded by crises and an uncertain future, she quickly adjusted her mood, forcing herself to adapt to the role of Yue Jinghua.

The identity of "Yue Xiaoqi" had to be forgotten.

Clings to the past would only hinder her progress on the Canglong Continent.

However, at this moment, seeing that familiar face, she realized there are some people she is destined never to forget in her lifetime.

But soon, Yue Jinghua noticed some differences; the man's eyes carried a clear disgust.

That disdainful gaze landed precisely on her face, and though he quickly looked away, it was as if she were a disgusting filthy thing.

A sudden exclamation from the crowd forced Yue Jinghua to divert her attention.

Several young heirs from Polo City's noble families watched Yue Chen endure humiliation, their arrogance intensified.

One of them pressed Yue Chen's head down, ordering him to crawl beneath their legs like a dog.

Yue Chen's usually pale and powerless body suddenly stiffened.

"If you won't crawl, then we'll clean house for Lie Family Mansion, no need to keep such useless trash. One disabled, one mute," amidst the young nobles' mocking laughter, Yue Chen's childish fists clenched tightly, a strange light flashed across the red mole between his eyebrows.

"What kind of street-mutt blocks my grandma's path," the well-laid cobblestones on the street suddenly exploded like ignited firecrackers.

Instantly, the people on the street screamed, dodging the flying debris like scattered arrows, dust billowing.

The leading young scion who insulted the Yue Family coughed, eyes not yet open, his body ducked low, and feet trampled his head.

The owner of those feet exerted slight force, and the young noble was jolted as if hammered by a pile-driver, first the feet, then the knees, and finally the shoulders, half of his body buried into the ground.

The young man tried to speak, but a flash of a knife passed before his eyes, silencing him with his cry stuck in his throat.

Half-charming, half-hideous face dazzled his vision.

The students from Xuanji Academy, as if seeing a ghost, exclaimed, "Yue Jinghua, you are Yue Jinghua."

"Isn't it your grandma, my boys, seeing your grandma shouldn't you kneel and kowtow," she said jokingly, her figure descending.

Her hand lightly touched the back of the boy embedded in the ground, and like an arrow released from its bow, he "swooshed" shot out.

His feet barely steady, his knees crisply snapped with two "crack" sounds, indicating a crushing fracture.

Then three loud "thud, thud, thud" sounds were heard, as the Human Dark Fifth Layer noble's forehead smashed into the ground, bringing multiple loud impacts as if a ripened tomato burst open, spilling bright red everywhere.

Apart from two people standing in Qianbin Building, everybody on the street only felt a blur before their eyes, as if they were witnessing a magic trick.

Just a moment ago, the young master of the Yue Family was beaten black and blue, in the next moment, the one who led the bullying against Yue Chen was beaten beyond recognition, lying on the ground, his face bearing the huge imprints of boot tramples that terribly distorted his features.

Yue Jinghua glanced sideways, sweeping lightly or heavily across the faces of that group of debauchees.

Being swept by the corner of her eyes, those debauchees shuddered, as if stripped bare in the cold December weather and thrown into the snow, their arrogance completely extinguished.

My goodness, how is she the useless girl of the Lie Family Mansion? She's clearly a ferocious goddess of death.

"All of you look clearly, there are some people you cannot touch even a single hair on, next time you see us siblings, remember to take a detour. Otherwise, he will be the best example for you, get lost," she roared with full force, booming like a thunderclap hitting the ground.

Never having seen such a brutally violent way of fighting, those pampered young masters fled, tumbling and crawling.

Dusting off her clothes, Yue Jinghua walked past the crowd, her aura pressuring the onlookers to disperse like birds and beasts.

Ahead, the two figures who had been standing on the Qianbin Building had already disappeared.

Yue Chen lay on the ground, his scattered hair covering his eyes, making his expression unreadable. Hearing Yue Jinghua's voice, he slowly shifted his feet, attempting to stand up against the wall.

Through the disheveled hair, Yue Jinghua glimpsed the stubbornness in the child's eyes.

She shrugged her shoulders and picked up Yue Chen to place him on her shoulder.

Yue Chen was taken aback, and despite his injuries and being much shorter than Yue Jinghua, he couldn't stop her "malicious hand."

His milky white skin quickly turned blush red climbing to the tips of his ears, Yue Chen struggled fiercely, but Yue Jinghua used some technique to seize his wrist, rendering him immobile.

Yue Chen was forcefully carried on her back; warmth transmitted from her soft shoulders.

A comfortable and gentle strength spread through her skin.

A never-before-felt sense of security permeated Yue Chen, as if he'd found a companion, or as if… the restless and rampant violence in him, along with the nerves on the verge of breaking in his mind, suddenly relaxed. Without realizing, Yue Chen stopped struggling, his arms stiffly falling to his sides, motionless.

That scene of drama thus ended, and an even bigger drama was briskly unfolding.

"Yue Jinghua seems different," in the Qianbin Building, Evil Jade Young Master removed an agate grape and popped it into his mouth, savoring the scene from the street, his peach blossom eyes reflecting a puzzled, inebriated look.

"Ugly and vulgar, even more unbearable than before," Fa Xiaoyi frowned, his nature was fastidious, always abhorring any flaw.

The previous "Yue Jinghua" was plainly unattractive, but she retained a somewhat submissive demeanor as a woman. Every time she met him, it was with lowered eyes and a compliant look, unlike today, her actions no different from those of a local rascal on the street.

Moreover, just now, she unexpectedly hoisted Yue Chen on her back irrespective of the crowds watching, beneath broad daylight.

Though they are siblings, there should be a distinction between genders, especially since they aren't biological siblings. Such behavior is simply scandalous.

Fa Xiaoyi's handsome face darkened like the bottom of a pot, a surge of inexplicable discomfort rising within him.

Yue Jinghua's behavior today could only further confirm that after being abducted, she underwent some experiences that greatly altered her temperament.

"When I say different, I mean her cultivation. Didn't the Prince notice just now? Her move, tsk tsk, the perfect integration of strength and beauty, pure aesthetic of violence, sheer Basic Martial Techniques. I have never seen anyone treating a Dark Practitioner so satisfyingly without using Dark Power. Prince, this individual's talent, I'm afraid, might even surpass that rumored female prodigy of the Lie Family Mansion. Now, things are sure to heat up there," Evil Jade stroked his chin, his expression unfathomable.

"The light of a firefly can hardly compare with a pearl. The Princess that this Prince fancies is a hundred times stronger," Fa Xiaoyi snorted dismissively.
