Chapter 11 - Magic Lessons in the Garden

Afterward, they had lunch together—his father still gushing about the magic, while his mother chuckled at the scene.

That afternoon, Rafayel and Tama went to the estate's garden.

A variety of colorful flowers bloomed there, and even though Rafayel wasn't particularly knowledgeable about flowers, he could still appreciate their beauty.

"This garden is maintained by both Lady Selene and the gardeners. Not only does it have beautiful flowers, but there are also herbs and plants used for cooking. When it's harvest season, let's come together to collect some, alright?"

Tama gently held Rafayel's hand as she explained the different plants around them.

Eventually, they arrived at a more secluded part of the garden, where she began explaining more about magic.

"Young Master Rafayel, your magic earlier truly surprised me. As Lady Selene mentioned, most children can't use magic until after the age of five. By then, they have already learned to read and write and have studied what magic is. Only then do they begin practicing. Using magic without knowledge is extremely dangerous… So let's make sure you learn more about it before using it again, alright?"

She smiled gently, but her words carried a firm warning.

Rafayel nodded, understanding that even with his cheating abilities, magic wasn't something to be taken lightly.

Just because I have cheating abilities doesn't mean I have unlimited magic power… And what if something I did unknowingly turned out to be a forbidden act in the magical world? That wouldn't be funny at all…

Understanding the weight of the situation, Rafayel nodded and said, "Yes."

"Alright then, I will first explain what magic is."

For the next thirty minutes, Tama gave him a magic lesson, incorporating some practical demonstrations.

Most of what she explained was similar to what he had read in novels before, so it didn't surprise him much.

However, one thing completely caught him off guard—there was no Demon King in this world.

The realization hit him harder than he expected.

Wait, what? I mean, I wasn't planning to fight anyone, but isn't the charm in the magic and sword world is all about heroes and demon kings?!

What about the potential for BL?!

Demon King × Hero, Hero × Demon King…

I was kinda looking forward to that!

And what about all the cute, romantic interactions between the hero and his party members on their journey to defeat the Demon King?

Ugh, this is a huge disappointment…

While Rafayel was silently mourning his lost expectations, Tama continued her explanation, unaware of his inner turmoil.

In this world, magic is divided into five elements: Fire, Water, Wind, Light, and Darkness.

Darkness magic, however, is only possessed by magical creatures and monsters.

It is considered forbidden for humans to use it.

Every human is born with magic power, and at the very least, they can use basic magic for daily life.

As expected, those with higher magic power are more valued.

Even people from lower social classes can rise in status if they have great magical abilities.
