My fingers trailed over the edges of the parchment, tracing the borders of the Lycan Kingdom, memorizing every weak point, every possible entry that could be exploited.
Asher thought himself untouchable, a king among Lycans, but even kings could fall. I would make sure of it.
A sharp knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts. "Enter," I commanded, not bothering to look up.
The heavy wooden door creaked open, and Callan stepped inside, his usual smug expression tempered with something more serious. "The first of the spies have been placed," he said, crossing the room to stand beside me. "They've secured positions as merchants and travelers. Within days, they'll have access to the court."
