See, Goku, with the rest of team 7, is on the bridge that is under construction. A thick fog covered everything, but several squares of ice could be seen, which formed a circle, and within it was Sasuke. Who was fighting against Haku? And outside the circle of ice squares, Kakashi was fighting with Zabuza while Goku was with Sakura, and they were protecting Tazuna from Zabuza's clones. The three battles were close, but Haku had a clear advantage, and it was noticeable over Sasuke; even with Sasuke's newly obtained Sharingan, he couldn't win.
While Naruto was heading to the bridge as fast as possible, jumping between trees.
Naruto: I'm on my way. Hold on a little longer.
Naruto quickened his pace, going faster. He was returning with the rest of team 7 and Goku. Sasuke kept fighting, attacking the ice squares with a fireball. Still, nothing happened. Sasuke, when he saw that nothing happened, began to observe analytically with his Sharingan, noticing something, quickly forming another fireball jutsu and shooting it right where Haku would come out to attack and be hit by the jutsu, burning Haku's clothes a little and surprising her.
Haku: Now that we've reached this point, we can start the actual fight, and I'll demonstrate what it means to be fast.
The speed with which Haku threw the Senbon needles increased even further than before. Even with his freshly obtained Sharingan, Sasuke wouldn't be able to respond in time to the situation. Sasuke could only defend himself as the needles continuously stabbed him; there was nothing else he could do.
Sakura: Sasuke
Zabuza: Just try and help him, and I'll kill the other two in a heartbeat, Kakashi.
Sakura: I'm sorry, Goku and Mr. Tazuna. I can't stay with you guys here while Sasuke is getting hurt. Forgive me.

Haku was knocked out of the ice mirror when she was struck on the head by a flying object, which caused her to lose her footing and fall.
Kakashi: Huh?
Sakura: What happened?
A massive smoke bomb went off as Haku attempted to reach her feet, but she was unable.
Sakura: Who is it?
Goku: Hahaha! Showoff.
Sasuke: What a halfwit! What an arrogant narcissist.
Haku: Number One hyperactive knucklehead ninja.
Naruto: Uzumaki Naruto is here. Yeah. You better believe it. Ha! Now that I'm here, everything will be all right.
Sakura: Naruto.
Naruto: Do you ever notice that the hero of the story usually appears to show up at the very last second and then proceed to kick butt right after? In any case, I'm going to get started on that right away.
Kakashi: Unh. What a foolish idiot. It would have been to everyone's advantage if he had remained undetected; he might have been much more effective.
Goku: Ha! I like your style, Naruto. Why stay hidden? Sure, you could have been more effective that way. That's a tedious way to fight.
Kakashi: You're not helping Goku.
Haku: It's the boy who was sleeping in the woods.
Naruto: Wait, you know me?
Goku: That's right, Haku. He's the idiot that fell asleep in the middle of the forest.
Naruto: Wait, that's the girl you said you found in the woods and helped gather some medicinal plants.
Goku: Yup.
Haku: Goku, let's strike a deal. If you hand over the person responsible for building the bridge, I will not harm any of your friends.
Goku: I am deeply sorry to disappoint you, Haku. I will not be able to grant your request. He had already settled the payment with the Leaf Village to ensure his safety until he finished building the bridge.

As the ninja's stars got closer to Naruto, Haku threw four senbon needles to stop Zabuza's weapons.
Tazuna: Their weapons canceled each other. Amazing. Now that's what I call lucky, I think.
Sakura: What are you doing, Naruto? Are you crazy?
Kakashi: This is not a talent contest; it is a battle. Don't let your opponent see your jutsu. The art of the Shinobi is one of deception. Always keep your enemy wondering about your plans. Even when only one jutsu is being performed, it is necessary to divert the focus of one's opponent, throw them off balance, and outmaneuver that opponent. When you came into the fight in that manner, you immediately became a human target for everyone else.
Naruto: I'm sorry. I was just trying to rescue everybody.
Goku: But there's one more thing we don't know about this scenario.
Zabuza: Haku, what are you doing?
Haku: Goku, this situation is not mysterious at all and this boy, Zabuza, let me kill him in the way of my choosing. Please.
Naruto: Bring it on. I'll take you apart!
Goku: It is crucial that you make your way over here, Sakura, and watch over Tazuna. It is important that I help out Naruto and Sasuke.
Zabuza would see Goku make his move, but Zabuza would create four water clones of himself and send them to attack Goku.
Goku: Damn it, more water clones.
Goku would take out a scroll and summon his weapon, a red wooden staff.
Zabuza: What are you going to do with that toothpick?
Goku: Oh, that's no toothpick; that's my Power Pole! Cool, huh? It used to belong to my father, but it was hand it down to me when he passed away. He called it "The Staff That Obeys One's Will." But I call it Power Pole. I think it sounds much more incredible.
Zabuza: I don't care what you call it or who it used to belong to. I'm still going to kill you, brat.
Meanwhile, with Haku, she dodges a kunai thrown by Sasuke. Haku then walks into one of her ice mirrors and begins her attack on Sasuke.
Kakashi: Sasuke, Naruto, think! You have to strike simultaneously from the outside and the inside if you want to win!
Sasuke: It is true that positioning is everything, and both Naruto and I are in the ideal spot at the moment. We have a chance of winning if Naruto hits him from the outside, and I attack him from within the circle.
Naruto: Hey, I snuck in here to save you! Pretty cool move, huh, Sasuke?
Goku: Ehehehe. Naruto, you sneak up on your enemy, not your ally. Think carefully before you move now your trap inside with Sasuke.

Haku would move at an accelerated speed throughout all of the mirrors, attacking Naruto and Sasuke as she went. She was throwing senbon needles. Naruto would continue to attack each mirror using his shadow clones, but each one would get destroyed before reaching the ice mirrors.
Haku: These mirrors only reflect my image allowing me to transport myself at light speed. Through my eyes, you appear to be moving in slow motion.
Goku: Be careful, you guys. She's using her Kekkei Genkai.
Sakura: Kekkei Genkai? What is that?
Goku: It's like Sasuke or Kakashi's Sharingan. It is a skill that cannot be acquired through conventional methods. It must be in your blood, in the genetic code that has been passed down from one generation to the next within a single family or clan.
Sakura: But that means.
Kakashi: Yes. Even I can't copy that jutsu. There's no way to destroy it and no way to stop her.
Goku just finished off the final Zabuza clone, and now he's racing over to the ice mirrors. Goku uses the same covert approach that Naruto did to find Sasuke and Naruto unconscious.
Haku: You're too late, Goku. They are now dead.
Goku: We both know that is not true, Haku. You use the same tactics when you attack Zabuza.
Haku: Fine, then I'll finish you all now.
Haku would begin to teleport from one mirror to another, readying her attack. Haku would send a barrage of senbon needles at Goku. Goku would quickly do some hand signs.
Goku: Sea Dragon's Nest. A dome of water surrounds Goku, Naruto, and Sasuke.
Haku: What is that? I have never seen a jutsu like that before.
Goku: You have your abilities, and I have mine. Let's see which one is more impressive.
Naruto would wake up confused about what was going on around him. He would notice Sasuke on the ground, not responding. Naruto's head starts to be filled with thoughts of Sasuke's death. He is releasing a sizeable amount of negative chakra and destroying the water dome and the ice mirrors. This cause a small explosion sending Goku and Haku flying toward the trees. Haku would try to stand up and see Naruto's face.
Naruto: I'm going to kill you.
Haku: Chakra cannot be seen, yet it's clearly visible. It's something ghastly. I can feel the wrath, the blood lust, like evil itself.
Naruto started to heal himself, and the needles that were impaled on his body were sent flying. Kakashi and Zabuza would stop fighting and begin to feel Naruto's chakra.
Goku: Damn it, Naruto, I'm your ally, remember.
Kakashi: Is Zabuza creating this? No, he's not. I know this chakra. There's no way. It's Naruto.
Zabuza: What is this energy? Something foul. It can't be Kakashi. It's too powerful even for him. Where is it coming from?
Naruto would be launched himself toward Goku and Haku, slugging both of them.
With Kakashi.
Kakashi: Huh? Could it be? That the seal has been broken. No, it's been loosened, and a glimmer of the fox's chakra has slipped through. But the seal still holds.
Sakura: What's happening?
Kakashi: Zabuza, I'm sorry to be the one to ruin your wonderful time. I am aware of your knack for making things much more complicated than they need to be. However, why don't we put an end to this right now? What do you think, buddy? Come on, what do you think?
Zabuza: Hm. Tempting. I'm interested to hear how you plan to defend such bold claims because they've sparked my curiosity. Show me Kakashi!
Kakashi: Ninja art summoning! Earth-style, fanged pursuit jutsu!
Zabuza: I don't know why you bother. Of what use is your jutsu if you can't even find me? But I can see you. You are blindly falling into my trap. I feel disappointed, Kakashi.
But then dogs would come out of the ground biting into Zabuza, holding him down.
Tazuna: That awful noise. What could it be?
Sakura: I don't know, and I'm not sure I want to find out!
Kakashi: If I couldn't see you, I would have to figure out where you were by smelling you. A summoning jutsu was just used here. I was releasing my ninja hounds into the wild. They are able to locate an odor in any environment. When you attack me, I let you get passed, my guard. I was hoping that you would cut my chest. You need to understand that the scent of my blood that was left on your blade was what drew their attention to you in the first place. Surprised? It would appear that I was not the only one to have my eyes closed. Falling into my trap, I feel disappointed, Zabuza. Oh, the mist is beginning to lift, and do you know what I can now make out? It's going to be your death.
Zabuza: Talk, talk. Do you mean to talk me to death?
Kakashi: In a way, yes. Right now, my hounds are just playing with you. But one word from me, and they'll tear you apart.
Kakashi would start to do some hand signs, and lightning would appear on Kakashi's hand.
Kakashi: Lightning blade.
With Naruto.
When Naruto finally got a hold of Haku, he grabbed her by the collar and punched her in the face, destroying her mask in the process.
Goku would run behind Naruto, jumping on his back and trying to put him in a chokehold.
Goku: Naruto, I need you to stop. Calm down Sasuke is not dead. I don't want to hurt you.
But Naruto would hear Goku's words. Naruto then grabbed hold of one of Goku's hands and he flipped him over his back, slamming him into the ground.
Goku: Damn it. I'm sorry, mom, but I might need to use it. I know I promised you not to use it unless you or Jiraiya would be around. But if I don't do this, people will die.
Once more, Naruto charged at Haku, but this time it was an attempt to put an end to her life. His thirst for blood was felt all over the bridge.
Haku: Zabuza, I am no match for this boy. Master, I have failed.
Goku: Wood style: Doomed wall.
Wooden branches would pop out of the ground, grabbing hold of Naruto before striking Haku and trapping him inside a wooden dome.

Haku: Why did you save me? You should have just let him kill me instead of you intervening. My usefulness has been exhausted. The single thing that ever gave my life any sense of purpose has been taken away. I am a damaged tool, a dulled weapon that is of no use to anyone. Please, Goku, do it. For the benefit of both of us. Be quick about it. What gives you causing you to hesitate?
Goku: I can't now that your will is broken. I can't just kill you.
Haku: Why not?
Goku: I think that maybe we could have been friends if we had met in different circumstances. Let me help you find a new purpose for you to live.
Haku: Do you mean that, Goku?
But before Goku could answer, Haku noticed that Zabuza's life was in danger, so she hurried to him to try and save him.
Haku: Sorry, Goku, change of plans.
Haku would do some hand signs and disappear and appear in the form of Kakashi and Zabuza, taking Kakashi's attack at full speed.

Goku: Haku, no!
Zabuza: So, my future is all used up, huh?
Hahahaha. Wrong again, Kakashi.
Tazuna: Isn't that the young girl in the mask?
Kakashi: The girl threw herself in front of my attack. She saved your worthless life at the cost of her own.
Zabuza: Well done, Haku.
Haku would fall down, but Goku would appear behind her holding her.
Goku: Why did you do it? I told you that would help you find a new purpose in life. You didn't have to die here.
Haku: Remember when we met, and I told you if you had anyone special to protect? Well, Zabuza is that person for me, and you also because that person too. Do you think if we really would meet each other under different circumstances, we could have been friends, or maybe?
Goku: Yes, Haku, I would have. I would love to have you by my side.
Haku: Thank you, Goku.
Haku passed away in Goku's arms. He would pick her up and take her to the side of the bridge, laying her down and closing her eyes.
Goku: I am going to destroy you, Zabuza.
Sakura: Goku, where are Sasuke and Naruto?
But Goku would answer her. He had his eyes concentrated on Zabuza only. When Sakura didn't get an answer from Goku, she looked around until she finally saw his body lying on the cold ground, covered in needles.
Sakura: No, Sasuke.
Tazuna: Let me take you to him, Sakura. As long we stay together, you won't be disobeying your sensei orders.
Sakura: Thank you.
Sakura and Tazuna ran where Sasuke's body is at.
Kakashi: Goku, I know you want to kill him, but his my mind to stop. Go and help Sakura and find Naruto.
Sakura: Oh, his body's cold. This isn't just one of his genjutsu tricks, is it?
Tazuna: Go on. You don't need to be brave on my account. Go ahead and let your feelings out, Sakura. It's all right.
Sakura: At the Academy, I was unmatched; I received perfect scores on every examination. The model of a successful student. When we were tested on them, I used to look forward to it every time. It provided me with an opportunity to demonstrate how intelligent I am. This one test stands out in my memory very clearly. Goku: A shinobi never shows his feelings, no matter the circumstances. Feelings are a weakness that only clouds his judgment and weakens his sense of duty.
Sakura: Goku.
Sakura began to cry, holding Sasuke's body.

Goku Would finish removing all of the needles and place his hands on Sasuke's chest and begin using his medical ninjutsu on Sasuke.
With Kakashi
We see him and Zabuza fighting, with Zabuza losing blood from his left arm and having two kunai stabbed. Kakashi continues beating Zabuza mercilessly when some new appears.
Kakashi: Game over. You lose.
?: Well, well. So this is how it turns out, huh?
Kakashi: huh?
?: Did quite a job on you, didn't he, Zabuza? I might say I'm disappointed.
Zabuza: Gato, I don't understand. What exactly is all of this? Why are you here? Who exactly are these thugs that you've brought along with you?

Gato: there's been a change in plan. The new plan, you die here on this bridge.
Zabuza: What?
Gato: You're getting too expensive. So I've decided to take you off the payroll.
Goku: Sakura, stay here. It seems we are not finished yet. The big fish has arrived.
What happened next made Goku fall into great anger when he saw Gato kicking the lifeless body of Haku. Goku would release a large amount of chakra.


Goku: You dare touch her. Disrespect her when she's dead. Zabuza, are you just going to stand there like nothing?
Zabuza: Shut up, boy. You don't understand. I used Haku as Gato used me. His usefulness is at an end. Her skill and power meant something to me, but the girl nothing.
Goku: You are ungrateful. After what she did for you, Haku lived for you. You were the most important thing to her. She saw you like a father. So are you telling me in years to spend with her, she never meant anything to you? If I improve my physical strength, does that mean that I'll also harden my heart as you have!? She threw away her whole life, and for what purpose? Why should I care about you and your dream? You never permitted her to have a dream of her own, but she didn't care, and you cast her aside as if she were nothing more than a faulty tool. You've got to be kidding me!
Zabuza: You talk too much, boy. I could tell when she tried to fight you her heart broke in two. She was always soft and kind. She felt pain and sorrow, and now because of her, I fell, them too. She really did like you, kid. Goku was it. Could you do me a favor? Let me borrow your kunai.

Goku would toss his kunai at Zabuza, and he would catch it with his mouth. Zabuza would change at Gato and his thugs, taking some of them out. But in the process of him taking some of them out, Zabuza got multiple stabs in his back.
Gato: Are you in a hurry to join her in hell?
Zabuza: It's hard for me to picture a more appropriate location for a demon ninja to end up, but I bet you can! I've been informed that there are a lot of demons down there and that they come in all different shapes and sizes. Oh, indeed, I think I'll be able to make a good impression! Gato, on the other hand, you are the one being referred to here. In that case, I'm afraid you have an eternity ahead of you that will be both protracted and agonizing!
Zabuza would charge at Gato one more time and kill him this time. By decapitating him with a kunai.
