Chapter 78 - Arrive in Lavender Town

"Sue, I'm sorry I skipped work, I've already spoken to Lance, you'll probably have to do the rest of the evaluation reports and stuff yourself."

Rope's tone carried a complete apology. But in reality the guy was drooling over the stewed curry still on the fire.

Growlithe, bouncing around on the floor with his eyes dead set on the pot of curry.

Charmeleon was sitting on the ground, not making any movements, not even opening his eyes, like an old monk in meditation. But... from his tense muscles, shrugged nose, and swallowed saliva, it seemed that this guy was not as calm as he looked.

Entei, on the other hand, was much more calm, and he was squirming towards the curry little by little...

Rope swats Rotom's outstretched hand away. Rotom smirked, and Rope glared at the squirming Entei, who looked around, not meeting Rope's eyes.

Rope can cook, and he's pretty good at it. Or rather, everyone else in the Oak Research Center could cook except for Professor Oak. Blue was good at doing some grilled and smoked food, and Pokéblock did a good job.

And Daisy's desserts and Poké Puff are a real treat. She even traveled to the Kalos region to learn how to make Poké Puff.

Rope, on the other hand, is better at, Galar region's curry, or rather, curry that has been magically modified with Earth's techniques. Of course, Rope could also make Pokéblock, but not as well as Blue did. Mind you, Blue's Trainer title was no slouch.

"That's fine, Professor Rope, I'll take care of the rest myself. I've also received instructions from Champion Lance, and I'll be back at the Ombudsman's office tomorrow to file a report. I heard from Champion Lance that you went after the criminals, did you get any leads? Is it dangerous?"

Sue's question was filled with warm concern. One didn't even need to see the face to conjure up an image of a soft-spoken, well-mannered girl.

When I think about it, Rope, the guy who cheated on the feelings of a young girl, should really be dragged off to sacrifice Arceus...

"Don't worry, my side is also fine, what chasing criminals and whatnot is still along the way, it's optional, as long as I still have to carry out my own journey ah."

Rope's words were direct and unemotional, Rope this guy was simply...

Though it was fine to say, there was absolutely no need for him who wasn't part of the League's official system to bother chasing down criminals for the League, it was still embarrassing to talk like that.

"Eh... Anyway, take care on your journey, and good luck at the Indigo Plateau Conference! I'll be there to watch you play!"

Sue froze for a brief moment, then changed the subject again quite naturally.

Rope nodded with satisfaction, this little girl is really on the ball, she's sharp, good at her job, and has a high emotional intelligence, so if the background behind her is hard enough she might really be able to accomplish something...

Er, it's hasty. The person who can be arranged by Lance to work by his side, even if it's because he and Cynthia have a two-point resemblance, I'm afraid it won't work if he doesn't have a hard enough background.

"OK, then I'll thank you in advance for coming over to support me. And I wish you a smooth ride to the top."

Rope's words really weren't just a casual remark, although he didn't know who was behind this little girl, this little girl should be the person Lance, or the Dragon Master family was going to support. Since Rope, or the entire Oak Research Center, including Red, Yellow, and Green, didn't want to support anyone to sit in the so-called 'League Manager' position, Rope didn't mind doing Lance a favor.

It was just a matter of standing in line, and even if he stood on the wrong side of the line, there was no one who could sanction Rope. so he had nothing to fear at all.

"Then I'll thank you for your instructions, without further ado, I have to continue writing my report."

After saying that, he hurriedly hung up the phone. And at the same time, Rope opened the lid of the pot. At that moment, a rich, mellow fragrance immediately overflowed the surrounding air.

The fresh aroma of Slowpoke's tail, the fruity scent of tree fruits, and the mellow aroma of curry come together to form a unique aroma. This kind of aroma has no aggression, just quietly overflowing in the air, wantonly but implicitly show themselves.

But everyone was unable to restrain themselves from greedily sniffing this tantalizing aroma, and then revealed a mesmerized expression.

Rope moved nimbly and scooped out the pot of curry with a spoon, then poured it over the prepared rice.

He waved to the three guys over there, Growlithe immediately rushed over and took his plate from Rope's hand, Charmeleon followed Growlithe's lead and took his plate from Rope's hand, then nodded his thanks to Rope, who gave him a smile in return. Entei was next, and the guy was still walking and looking strong, and Rope handed over his plate as well.

By the way, Entei's plate was the biggest, mainly because the guy was really the biggest one.

And finally Rope's plate.

As for Rotom?

Rope had batteries and a Pokéblock for him...

Rotom: ...

Rope says, "It's not my fault you can't eat curry, and the Pokéblock is made by Blue. It tastes pretty great."

Rotom put a howling emoticon on the screen, then drifted over to the Pokéblock and silently ate it...

And then just after one taste.

Blue, the eternal god! (*﹀▽﹀)

Rope glanced at Rotom, who was eating and drinking unusually cheerfully.

Rotom seemed to have no way to eat the curry made by Rope because of his body structure, but fortunately there was the curry-flavored Pokéblock that he had asked Blue to specialize in.

Although there was a reduction in energy level, the flavor was really great, and even Rope found it delicious.

That way, Rope's guilt over Rotom can be a little lighter. Granted Rope hadn't really taken Rotom in so far, it was more like researcher and assistant status on between him and Rotom.

Rope took everyone for a lazy nap in the sun, and then set off again in the direction of Floaroma Town.

Speaking of this place, Floaroma Town, quite a few people have suffered losses.

Including Red, who was surprised by a Ghost-type Pokémon. That Psyduck Skeleton Monster scene, Red still can't get over it to this day.

Blue also hated this place, so the two of them seldom came to this Floaroma Town, which didn't help with cultivation and would constantly be messed up by mischievous or evil Ghost-type Pokémon.

No one likes that.

Rope did too, except he came here more for a don't-miss-it kind of idea. Since he's out on a trip, he'll see more, even if he has to suffer a bit, as long as he's not hanging...
