Pyroar couldn't quite read that god's maneuvers.
He didn't think that someone who could perform that kind of operation could still be called human.
But the scene in front of him was even more incomprehensible.
Why didn't this god come to attack him, but instead sent two not-so-strong Pokémon?
Even that stronger Arcanine was only at the top of the Elite Four class and had yet to find its way to the Champion class.
That Chimchar was even less so, slightly less powerful than Arcanine.
"Roar!"
Pyroar let out a roar. His own violent personality simply didn't allow him to think too much. If he would have acted steadily when facing Rope because of his intimidation, he wouldn't be afraid at all when facing these two little things in front of him. Being cautious was naturally even more unnecessary.
With a roar, Pyroar took the lead and attacked from his spot, his sharp claws outstretched towards Chimchar.
Arcanine's defense ability itself was much stronger than Chimchar's. Chimchar, even so, was only a Pokémon in its initial form. Even if Chimchar was a Pokémon in its initial form, his attack power might be very strong, but his defense power must be very poor.
After destroying him with one move, he could then deal with that stinky dog!
Pyroar's calculations were good, but he still miscalculated a little, Chimchar's strength...
Chimchar looked at Pyroar, who was lunging towards him through the flame mask, without a single fluctuation in his eyes. He seemed to have expected it. The flame baguette slung behind his back was swung, and from the right side of his body, he smashed it directly onto Pyroar's claws that were coming towards him. Then it opened it.
The mid-air Pyroar felt the burning sensation and huge force coming from his claws, and also shrugged in surprise, before he was in mid-air controlling his form with all his might, so that his landing position would try not to affect the ensuing battle.
Before he could complete his movements, a wave of heat came from his side.
Pyroar subconsciously looked that way. That Growlithe was wrapped in flames around his body, his face armor covered the upper half of his face, and there was a cheerful smile on the lower half of his face that was exposed to the air.
[When fighting for your life... can you still laugh?]
Pyroar had always known himself as a madman, but at the sight of that smile, he was somewhat surprised and creeped out. This wasn't some simple sparring match, winning or losing in itself had no tangible meaning to Pokémon.
This was a life and death struggle between Pokémon.
Soon enough Pyroar didn't keep thinking about it. His equilibrium was eventually broken by this 'divine speed' move of Arcanine's.
He lumbered into close contact with the ground, and it hurt to the point that it wasn't very painful. The collision with the ground itself didn't burn him more.
Only when he raised his head again, what appeared in front of him was a sky full of stick shadows transformed by the red-colored long stick.
Trying to dodge, there was no room.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the Arcanine's movements, and the red-colored flames condensing in the air of that Arcanine similarly brought him a great deal of pressure.
He had never seen such a powerful flame before.
Seeing that the shadow of the stick was about to fall, Pyroar did not dodge. Instead, the fire energy on his body began to rise wildly.
"Roar!!!"
With an angry roar, the orange-red flames followed the air waves set off by the roar and pounced towards the stick-swinging Chimchar and Arcanine, who was preparing Flamethrower, like a lioness on the hunt.
This move was not a skill that already existed, but one that Pyroar had developed himself.
It's an exaggeration to call it a skill, but it's actually a combination of 'Noble Roar' and 'Fire Spin'. It's a combination of 'Noble Roar' and 'Fire Spin', but it uses Fire Spin on its own body and relies on the wave of air created by Noble Roar to send all the flames out. Through this, he was able to achieve a counterattack.
As you can see, the idea of this move is simple, but it works very well indeed.
Chimchar stopped himself from retreating by throwing his stick to the ground, while Arcanine wasn't affected by the move because he was farther away.
The defense and counterattack of this move was really good. But in terms of power...
Arcanine_haha.JPG
Pyroar, of course, wouldn't miss this opportunity, and with flames condensing from his mouth, a ball of flame landed at Arcanine's feet.
The vortex formed by the flames rose up as if to strangle Arcanine.
Arcanine's ability was Intimidate, not Flash Fire, so it couldn't be ignored in the face of this move.
"Roar!"
He growled, and Chimchar responded with caution.
This move Fire Spin was very powerful, especially at the level of trapping people with high attainment. The momentarily careless Arcanine was hit by this move, and he might not really be able to get out for a while.
But he wasn't afraid that without his help Chimchar would suffer a big loss at the hands of Pyroar. After all, their master is still over there, Chimchar is not a stupid monkey. Chimchar is not a stupid monkey. As long as he can't beat them, he will naturally run towards Rope's side.
This is the biggest difference between Rope's Pokémon and the other Pokémon. All other Pokémon thought that if they lost the battle, they must not involve their masters, and had to run in other directions to give their masters time to escape.
But Rope's Pokémon don't hesitate to run in Rope's direction when they can't beat him.
Rope can really help them defeat their opponents...
"Ho-cha!"
Chimchar responded then took his stance, looking like he was going to fight Pyroar for another 300 rounds.
After all, he couldn't have known better as he looked at the pattern on the stick, his eyes flashing with mixed emotions.
He wasn't a fool, he couldn't be clearer in his heart as to why he hadn't been able to evolve successfully.
In fact, when he fought that Aggron in the Indigo Plateau Conference's Elite Eight, he had an urge to evolve.
However, every time he was evolving, a group of Rhyperior's shadows always appeared in his mind, as well as a god that towered over him, looking down with golden pupils.
Rope says it's the lord of the Distortion World, the Dragon of antimatter - Giratina.
He knew that it was a knot in his heart that had been passed down along with his parents' stick skills. He didn't know where his parents' stick skills came from. But he knew very well that he would just never be able to evolve if he didn't get these knots out of his mind.
Rope tells him that some things need to be faced bravely, and that running away is not only shameful, but also useless.
The things that are bothering you are still happening and will get worse. It's like a piece of gangrene that will only spread if you don't get rid of it.
Rope also said that if you feel that you can't solve these problems for the time being, you might as well think about getting stronger, and only think about getting stronger...
Because all problems can be solved by getting stronger.
Rope didn't tell the little ones about the main world because it would put them under some pressure that they shouldn't be under at this stage.
But Rope seemed from the strength of Year and the others that it wouldn't be difficult for such people to make up for those regrets they had when they were weak.
The divine kingdom of life and death could be conquered, so what else was impossible?
Being strong was sometimes not the most effective option, but it was indeed the longest lasting one.
With that thought, Chimchar swung his stick towards Pyroar.
He had nothing on his mind right now but thoughts of...
Beat him up.
Pyroar went along with the monkey face mask that the flames had congealed into. He didn't know why Chimchar, a monkey, would put a strange mask on himself, but he knew that this Chimchar, right now, was going to be crazier than that Arcanine.
But he was a Champion Pokémon... this Chimchar in front of him was tricky, but he was far from a threat.
He swung his claws boldly while still prepared, blocking the flaming club while tearing towards the Chimchar.
As a Pyroar characterized by overconfidence, he believed that as long as he took care of this Chimchar first, he would be able to end the battle quickly.
Although it was impossible to defeat that god even if he ended the battle. But it would at least make that arrogant god feel some hard feelings, right?
As long as it was hard for him, then Pyroar would win.
After all, isn't that what the so-called enemies are all about?
Seeing him make more money than he loses would make him angry.
As long as you can give each other trips, so that the other party to suffer, which in itself is a very happy thing.
Saying what grievances and revenge when the time is up....that kind of revenge on one's own enemy's feeling is very cool!
Empty? That's what happens when you're done taking revenge. Besides, you'll feel a sense of accomplishment when you've achieved any goal, and a sense of accomplishment is followed by emptiness. Unless you have a new goal to fill right away.
With this kind of disgusting Rope's mindset, Pyroar also used one hundred and two percent of his strength. Chimchar didn't know what kind of chicken blood Pyroar was pumping, but the sudden increase in pressure didn't make him lose control, instead, he was even more frantic in launching his attacks on Pyroar.
Call it frantic, but acting on instinct Chimchar was flexible to a fault.
Pyroar opened his bloody mouth towards his neck out. Good thing there was no odor...
But Chimchar's club suddenly changed its stance, and the club poked Pyroar in the neck with a backhand.
Pyroar immediately felt a bit breathless. The force on his mouth couldn't help but be reduced by three points.
Chimchar's left hand took advantage of this opportunity to punch Pyroar's face hard. Pyroar's wave of attack was once again neutralized by Chimchar.
If the ordinary Pokémon in this world were practicing skills, and a few fighting techniques. Chimchar, however, relied primarily on his fighting skills against his enemies.
And the path is different from any known routine. Between the wide openings and the seemingly careful approach, there was hardly anything too broken.
Bruno had seen Chimchar's usual special training, and sincerely praised that it was a fighting style that could be called 'beautiful'.
With this fighting technique, Chimchar could almost maximize the gap in hard power. That's why, even during intra-team battles, Arcanine and Charizard wouldn't let Chimchar get too close to them.
Otherwise Chimchar's level of difficulty was simply number one on the team.
Although Pyroar didn't know this at first, he was able to see it after being hit with this punch.
Can't play melee with this guy...
Not to mention himself, I guess even that Charizard over there, who was even more powerful than himself and rubbed Ursaring on the ground, couldn't easily take care of this Chimchar...
This Chimchar didn't look like it was very old...that was something that could be seen at a glance between Pokémon.
But this little guy's strength could be really outrageous.
Pyroar chose to distance himself from the little guy. This was not the way to fight, and if you were wise to the fact that the opposite side had an advantage in melee combat and still went up to Mangan, you were either a fool or too confident.
Of course neither will survive long in the end.
Pyroar stepped back, while on the other side Arcanine had broken free of Fire Spin.
He glanced at Chimchar, who was panting, and then at Rope, who was crying and laughing with Malkin over there...
Yes, Malkin was crying and Rope was laughing.
Deciding not to go up and help, Chimchar's case, he might have to forget about all those things before he could evolve.
Arcanine didn't know how to help Chimchar, but judging from the current situation, it was best to leave him alone.
Chimchar saw Pyroar retreating to the side, and naturally knew that this guy was planning to use long range attacks to consume him.
Now he forgot that he had companions. Arcanine didn't take the initiative to show up, and he didn't remember that Arcanine was also on top of the battlefield.
He let out a low growl before charging towards Pyroar with an arrow step.
Pyroar didn't hesitate to unleash a Fire Blast towards Chimchar.
Then he retreated.
Chimchar knew that it would be better to dodge rather than fight, so he subconsciously dodged towards the other side. However, just after he dodged the Fire Blast, another pillar of fire came towards him, as if he knew he would dodge this way.
In fact, the Fire Blast didn't go straight towards Chimchar. Instead, it showed a slant, like a half-hidden door. In this situation, Chimchar would naturally choose the closest breakthrough route, and was then guided by Pyroar.
Chimchar immediately reacted to what was going on, Rope often used this move when training them as well.
And then they tend to get their asses kicked after being guided.
Rope was like a very strange teacher. Wouldn't tell them those mistakes easily. Instead, he would make them repeat those mistakes over and over again until they realized the problem themselves.
Rope's special training was brutal, but after getting used to it, they knew it was actually okay.
"Ho cha!"
Chimchar dodged the pillar of flame with a sliding tackle, then continued forward in the direction of Pyroar.
Pyroar looked on in disbelief. He had originally thought that Chimchar would dodge towards the side, as this Flamethrower move also had a slight deflection.
But attacking directly from below...that was something Pyroar hadn't expected...
Luckily, Pyroar's reflexes were equally quick. His front paw stomped on the ground, and a wave of fire appeared on the ground, and then attacked Chimchar, who was skidding on the ground.Chimchar really felt his weakness when facing the champion Pokémon.
Chimchar was really feeling weak against the champion Pokémon. But the field in front of him had a ridiculously low margin for error, and if Chimchar was negligent or careless in any way, he would face a costly defeat.
Chimchar immediately rolled on his side, breaking his slide, or he would have become a slide deliveryman. Not an ending Chimchar wanted...
Pyroar was also marveling at Chimchar's reaction speed, but now that we were opponents, we couldn't let each other off the hook just because of any appreciation.
Even if he couldn't kill this Chimchar, he still had to make him remember that not everyone was someone he could mess with.
Chimchar quickly got up after rolling, and then once again carried the stick towards Pyroar.Pyroar also stopped using other skills to delay, or rather, can not delay much time, after all, in front of this little guy's reaction to long-range attacks is ridiculously fast.
How many of his long range skills hit empty.
Pyroar growled, the lion certainly wouldn't shy away from fighting others head on.
And Chimchar was still weaker than him.
As long as he didn't fall into his opponent's rhythm, there was no need for Pyroar to have too much fear of Chimchar.
When was it the turn of a Champion to be afraid of an Elite Four.
Arcanine on the side looked a bit worried, after all, it seemed that the Pyroar in front of him had really reacted.
That's right, when fighting against Chimchar it would always be ravaged by Chimchar's techniques because of its gullibility. Then he came to the conclusion that he couldn't fight Chimchar in melee.
But in reality, Chimchar was trying to create this illusion. Every punch he threw was thrown with all his might, but how many punches could a full-force swing last?
When the opponent harassed him remotely, he could rely on his reaction speed to dodge, and then take advantage of the time to recover his stamina. It would also drain the opponent's energy.
Then wait to get close before attacking with full force.
After a few cycles, the opponent should be defeated.
However, if you meet a Pokémon whose Chimchar's full-force attacks don't have much effect, then this method of combat, the one who loses will definitely be Chimchar.
And if this guy reacted to the fact that he couldn't defeat Chimchar in melee combat, Chimchar would lose even faster...
That was the case now.
Arcanine's leg muscles tightened as he began to carefully observe Chimchar and Pyroar's sparring, searching for the right angle and also determining his distance.
Arcanine certainly wasn't going to leave it alone if anything did happen.
Chimchar, on the other hand, was staring at this Pyroar in front of him with one mind, he knew very well how powerful this Pyroar was, but because of this, he knew even more so that he absolutely couldn't have any other thoughts at this time.
Only by thinking about the battle could he have the best ending.
With this thought, a white light began to emerge from Chimchar's body.
This was the prelude to the beginning of evolution.
Pyroar instantly realized what that god really wanted... he wanted to make himself a whetstone for this little guy, and then take this opportunity to make Chimchar evolve.
Was this madness?
Once hit by an attack during evolution, it was highly likely that the evolution would be forcibly interrupted, and if it wasn't interrupted on its own, then the damage would be devastating...
Pyroar had doubts in his mind, so he subconsciously glanced in Rope's direction.
And so he and Rope locked eyes.
Pyroar suddenly shivered. If it wasn't for his rich combat experience that made him subconsciously dodge Chimchar's stick, he probably wouldn't be able to win now.
Rope's eyes were terrifying, just by looking at them, Pyroar felt that there were icy flames surging through his body.
He understood his position. Being defeated by Chimchar wouldn't kill him; after all, Chimchar didn't have the strength to kill him yet. But if he interrupted Chimchar's evolution...he would be roasted to a crisp the next moment, right?
Or they could become meat in someone else's pot and get stewed with that stupid bear... after all, it wasn't the first or second time they'd seen something like a human would eat a Pokémon.
Back in the day when they followed Kumas on his adventures they'd occasionally catch Farfetch'd for a taste.
Stewed onions and Farfetch'd together tasted so good!
Having gotten his bearings, Pyroar wasn't as maniacal as he'd been before.
After all, it was good to be alive, and no creature would die for no reason.
Pyroar didn't taper off, knowing he had to put enough pressure on Chimchar at this point. But neither did he put any more force on it, any more and Chimchar would lose.
Arcanine saw this also put down the heart up, but still vigilant staring at Pyroar.
At this moment, Chimchar was in a state of near oblivion, swinging his club, not like he was fighting Pyroar, but more like he was facing a group of other unknown types of Pokémon...
There was a hint of madness.
The wind of the stick grew stronger, and the white light grew brighter.
A moment later, the white light reached its peak, and the figure of Chimchar in front of him began to change.
Pyroar took a step back to avoid Chimchar's attack. He could see that the current Chimchar was not fighting himself at all.
As for what it was? He didn't know.
The white light quickly dissipated and an orange monkey Pokémon appeared. Its ears, mouth, arms and legs, and belly were a darker flesh color. Compared to before evolution its appearance was wilder, its limbs were thicker, and the flames of its tail grew more and more intense. Monferno's face had red and blue faceplate-like patterns, a ring of white hair around its neck, and a swirling pattern on its abdomen.
This was Monferno.
Rope finally gave a sigh of relief when he saw it too.
Then shook his head and looked at Malkin who was crying from his own conversation in front of there eyes.
"Don't cry, tell me the matter honestly, I'll get you a leniency."
"Don't worry about helping people clear their sins, I'm a professional, only you have to come up with something I want."
The big man Malkin wiped a tear, then said, "There's not much information I can give you from my side, but there are still a few that are valuable."
"It doesn't work if you think it's valuable, I have to think it's valuable."
Rope wrote lazily again.
He wasn't going to take a brown guy as an undercover agent, and Malkin was again very different from Snow and Vision, who were not guilty enough to even have their wanted notices published.
But Malkin is a well-known thief in the League.
It's like one is washing rags and the other is washing briquettes...not a difficult task at all.
"The leaders of Servants of God, namely Physic, Ghost, and Arceus are three guys who seem to have known about our existence from the start."
"I was in my secret base when I received a transmission from them. That secret base is known only to me."
"There are others... none of you Leagues know their strength, but these three guys from Servants of God just know exactly where they are, what they're having trouble with, what they want, and... the current state of their strength."
"Don't you think that's creepy?"
