While Cades was deep in thought, his heart basically bursting as he was having an anxiety attack but somehow still appearing eerily calm to the outside the archer began moving once more, now more leisurely, seemingly trying to hide his own anxiety, stress and fear.
He gave of an obviously fake sigh and began talking, this time without any gurgle once more, as if he had only been putting that on because of the fact that his anxiety was obvious, and had now put it off because he was trying to hide it, or perhaps it had just been to annoy Cades, but he didn't care right now.
"You kinda looked similar to the monster thing that put me in here.. All the silver crawling up your body, you just seemingly not moving, you looked just like that thing I thought."
He took a breath and seemed to look right ahead, into nothingness, but truly at the wall that was dressed in the painting of the singular figure clad with the door, but then he breathed it out once more, exuding an obviously false sigh and continuing telling his story.
"About four years ago I entered a temple with six sides, one with similar design to this one, amde out of the same material and everything, but without the wall paintings. Anyways, after I entered the temple, intending to explore the newly appeared structure that had been sending waves of panic throughout the whole world because no one was able to enter it. You can't imagine how surprised I was to be able to enter it, I was ecstatic, people all over the world gave me materials, acives, even constances, and those are so much rarer than actives it's really just funny. But that happiness was only short-lived, soon after I entered I felt despair."
The archer was truly opening himself up, Cades didn't think much of it because he wasn't normally in such a situation, but in truth that was just a show of the four long years he had spent in this forsaken place, the four years of loneliness, the four years in which he was barely able to speak with anyone, he would quite literally tell him everything, he was as addicted to social interactions as a cat is to cat grass, and maybe Cades would one day be at he same level as him.
And just as he was realizing the gravity of what the archer was saying, though he himself barely cared, the archer sighed once more, seemingly lost in his thoughts, as hidden as they might be, and began talking with a deep resounding voice coming from the deaths of his throat, though to Cades it simply sounded like a deep voice overlaying the archers crypted language.
"The temple consisted of an unreasonable number of rooms, thousands of them, I was lost in there for weeks, and as I was lost I was prey, I was being hunted. And the bieng hunting me looked almost like what you looked like back there, it was covered in silver, and that silver moved, it ate, it devoured, it destroyed, it tortured..."
He sighed once more, now breathing frantically but finally continuing to speak, glad to finally be rid of all of this, glad to finally talk about all that had been weighing his heart down, maybe not for the first time, but at least once more.
"I managed to survive in that place for weeks, living off of the mould on the walls and the water that sometimes dripped from the ceiling and I ran away whenever that thing appeared, but in the end that thing caught me, its arms spread out form its body and I was drowning withing the liquid silver. And then I was here."
Cades stared at him, he didn't really know what to say, what was their to even say?
His own past might be worse, might be better than the archers, he didn't tell him everything, Cades was certain of that, though he didn't know what, Cades was completely certain that he hadn't been told everything.
But besides that he was also socially inadequate, after all he had only made two friends in the last few years, and that only because one of the people he had made friends with, Nelia, was a social bomb that intruded on his life like a robber on a lone diamond placed in the middle of the street encased in a block of glass.
So he decided to basically ignore it, a act that whether he would realize it later on or not was actually the best way to deal with this as the archer didn't want his advice, he didn't want his comment, he simply wanted to tell his story, after all, Cades might be the only being to know it in all of existence at some point.
After some contemplating a bit and looking at the paintings on the wall, something that he desired to discuss with the archer, but only after he was able to still his hunger for information about these actives. So, in a rather abrupt and kind of disrespectful way he began asking his question.
"Say, what are the differences between these different actives you mentioned ?"
The archer, seemingly happy about the distraction decided to directly start with the explanation.
"I didn't mention anything about that if I remember correctly, but there are ten types of actives.
The first class are really just utility and the basics of the basics, like a magic missile. After that there is the second type, mana enhancement, consists of the act of enhancing something basic with magic, like ones own strength, after that there is the third type, basic attacks, like fire magic, they are just physical attack spells, without true form, it's basically just spraying elements at something. The fourth type is the same as the third one but with a physical form added to it, like a fireball, or a lightning spear., after that, the fifth type, is simple magic that affects others, such as weakening of muscles, distraction, or, most common, healing. After that it gets kinda confusing, so pay attention, I had to study this dozens of times over to completely understand it."
