North of the Northern Frontier, beyond the vast wastelands, a scattering of a dozen or so tents could be seen—small nomadic settlements formed by the Hu tribes people.

In front of a tattered little tent, a couple knelt fearfully on the ground, kowtowing in apology to their fellow tribesmen.

Their skin was dark and weathered, and they could only utter incoherent "ah ah" sounds—both were deaf and mute.

Beside them stood a striking young woman, her fair skin starkly contrasting with the rough, sun-darkened complexions of the others. She was undeniably beautiful, but her expression was one of arrogance and defiance.

Her gaze toward those around her was filled with disdain. Soot smudged her hands and face, and the corner of her lips still bore traces of grease that had yet to be wiped clean.

The elderly chieftain hobbled over with his cane. Upon seeing the scene before him, he sighed and gestured for the couple to rise.
