"This is what I see whenever I meddle with time... and it looks like my powers don't work on you anymore," Ariella answered. "But... your powers seem to work on me."
"Do you mean those spectral things?" Neraxis asked, tilting his head. "I'm not dealing with them on my own—my mana is doing everything by itself."
"I know, so is mine," Ariella replied with a nod, wiping her tears as she pushed him away.
The moment she did, he felt his consciousness slip slightly backward before snapping back into his body.
"I can't even push you out of this place either..." Ariella remarked with a conflicted sigh before flashing him a glare. "Who are you?"
