It didn't take them long to enter the bone city. After all, they had already been right in front of it. However, the melody that had reached their ears was way too pleasant to ignore.
Yet the moment Neraxis halted to take in the sound, Jane whacked him over the head with a pillow she had brought.
"No falling for the enchantment. I told you already," Jane said flatly. "You too, woman. You've been twitching ever since earlier. I appreciate that you're trying to resist, but it's a bit creepy."
"She's aroused," Neraxis pointed with a shrug. "I'm guessing the melody reflects what we want to feel. I'm feeling attraction, and she's... well, you know."
He turned to Jane. "But what about you? What do you feel when you hear the melody?"
She looked on in silence before letting out a sigh.
"I can't hear the melody. But I know it's there. I guess you could say I feel it?"
"Right..." Neraxis rolled his eyes at her dismissal and returned his gaze toward the dead streets ahead.
