While the blue sky kingdom was making plans to identify the "fallen treasure," something else was happening within the soul of Li Kai!
"Where am I?" Li Kai thought.
"What the fuck is happening to me?"
"Who is that entity?"
"What is a system?"
"But most importantly, where in the damn world am I? I barely understand a damn thing that is going on!!!"
"Ahhh," Li Kai thought, as he was extremely shocked and confused.
In short, he was totally lost.
Back in the endless cosmos, just when he thought that he had a shot at surviving and was about to devour what he thought to be a soul, he was instead devoured,or rather bound, to some mysterious entity.
None of what was happening was under his control.
In addition, the system, which the entity spoke of, was something he had never heard of, much less understood.
Moreover, just when he was about to ask questions to whatever entity was communicating with him via soul, his soul healed rapidly and suddenly vanished from the cosmos.
It all happened too fast to even comprehend.
Now, he felt trapped in a body, and all sorts of thoughts raced through his mind.
Li Kai had so many questions, yet each of them remained unanswered.
Just as he was pondering what was really happening…
Like a bolt, information poured into his mind.
"Memories… these are memories, but they're someone else's… Davi L. Vermillion. Sigh, you must have lived a painful life," Li Kai thought as he watched the life of another flash before his eyes.
Subconsciously, he began to have feelings he never knew he had.
As someone who was an orphan back in the world of forsaken saints and fought his way through countless trials to the highest pinnacle, the Saint Sage Realm, he was completely detached from the things of the world.
But at this moment, things he never thought he would obtain blood bond and love, suddenly filled his being.
It was like a string of fate had tied him to a certain individual.
Davi felt pain, pain for leaving his brother.
Despite being crippled, he longed to be with Russel, even if just for one more day.
As if the fog suddenly lifted, Li Kai came to a realization: Davi L. Vermillion was clearly someone else, yet at the same time, he was him.
The feelings he felt were all too real to be a coincidence.
"Could I have transmigrated?" Li Kai thought.
"No! Definitely not, that is the stuff of legends. How could I possibly… but it's all too surreal, could I possibly have transmigrated?" he thought, stuck between belief and disbelief.
"Could it be related to that mysterious entity? Ahhh! There is just so much that I don't know. What even is happening to me?" Li Kai thought.
While Li Kai was still trying to figure out what was happening, his mind and thoughts were a mess.
It was then he saw the deceased soul of Davi materializing in front of him, or rather, a strong will.
Not long after, a strong will materialized in his thoughts. Without needing to think, he knew it was the real Davi L. Vermillion.
This was because Li Kai had already seen all the previous memories of this individual.
Davi stared at Li Kai, and Li Kai reciprocated.
Just then, Davi spoke.
"I don't know who you are. I also don't have much time here, as I'm already dead.
I have a deep, unyielding will to depart from the world, or to be specific, to depart from my brother, alas…" Davi said.
"I have only one wish… take care of him," Davi's will paused.
"For he is my last blood. It's the least you could do for taking my body," Davi's will said.
One last time, Davi's will looked at Li Kai before it suddenly dispersed, fusing completely with Li Kai's.
"What a strong will… it could even materialize in my thoughts. I was not able to achieve such a feat even as a Saint Sage back in the world of forsaken saints," Li Kai pondered.
"Just what world have I come into? Now, I really want to know " Li Kai thought.
But now, a doubt Li Kai had was confirmed:
He had transmigrated!
After the encounter with Davi's will, he understood, to some extent, what was happening.
Slowly but surely, he began to feel warmth again something he thought he had lost since the destruction of his body.
Li Kai/Davi's heart started to beat again, his pulse returned, and he was gradually being invigorated as he took deep breaths of cool air.
As Li Kai further adjusted to his new body, his thoughts drifted once more as he recalled the last words of the entity that aided in his transmigration.
"At long last, I have found a host. My soul is nearly at the end of its rope. I will use this soul to recover to my peak, and those bastards that did this to me will know true fear!"
"For you to survive in this chaotic cosmos for this long, despite your damaged soul… you are peculiar. I have decided!"
"I hereby grant you the system. Recover quickly, so that I might as well regain my peak."
"Wait a minute… You didn't just call me a host, did you?" Li Kai thought.
Just recalling the events that happened in the cosmos made Li Kai ponder the underlying meaning behind those words.
"Does that mean it belongs to that clan that makes use of parasites as a means of cultivation?" Li Kai asked himself in thought.
"That certainly cannot be it. A parasite leeches on the host and sucks the vitality out of it. Clearly, whatever entity aided in my transmigration isn't one, as it healed me instead."
"But this begs the question: why then did this entity use the word host?"
"How am I a host in the first place?" Li Kai spiraled down these trains of thought.
It was then he felt his new body.
"Seems like my soul has adapted rather quickly to this body… that's interesting," Li Kai thought out loud.
This time, he could hear his own voice.
Although it wasn't the voice he once had, it still brought immense joy to Li Kai/Davi.
"I wonder what's unique about this body… it isn't any type of body that can house the soul of a peak Saint Sage," Li Kai thought.
But Li Kai was in for a treat, as he was about to find out what was so 'unique' about this body.

Russell dashed through the narrow streets of Slum Area 4, slowly approaching the entrance to the slums.
Russell wanted to see if he could meet up with his shift at the mines, as that was the only place that would employ 'him' (because he had no magic attribute yet).
He had to quickly get the restoration pill from an alchemy shop in town for his brother's health.
The town Russell and his brother resided in was Blue Wind Town, a rather small town famous for its magic mines and the Blue Wind slums.
Blue Wind Town was like a mini village located at the borders of the Blue Sky Kingdom of the western continent.
Soon, Russell reached the town and proceeded onwards.
The town was bustling as always.
Different traders and merchants bought and sold their goods and magical wares.
Just then, his stomach growled.
Russell realized that he had not had breakfast.
Russell picked up the brown pouch by his waist and proceeded to stare at it for a while.
Sigh… "Guess I'll have to remain hungry for a while… Maybe today's payment from the mines will get us a stable dinner tonight,"
Russell thought to himself as he proceeded to the alchemy section where he could find Mr. Frank's shop.
Just as Russell was about to cross to the other side of the road, the town guards walked past him, which was a big surprise as the town guards didn't usually come around this area.
It was then he listened to the whispers of the crowd and was shocked upon hearing their discussions.
"Apparently, the king has ordered an investigation for the magical treasure that is about to be born."
"I heard that too… Is this true?" asked another.
"While I do not know of this, didn't you see those spectral lines of various colors gliding across the horizon? I believe it's key to whatever treasure the king is hunting for," replied another man.
"Are you trying to tell me you didn't feel the queer energy from that light? It felt odd in a way," said a mage who just happened to be shopping for alchemy healing pills at the Magic Acolyte Realm.
"Ahh, brother! I had no idea you were a mage… They aren't common around these parts," replied another.
"Brother is indeed right. As we are commoners who cannot feel the nen energy, we couldn't sense the queer energy you speak of," said a robust man who owned a stall nearby and just happened to be listening to their conversation.
"Well, whatever the case may be, it really doesn't concern us commoners," replied a buyer at the robust man's stall.
And all those involved in this discussion suddenly burst into laughter.
Just then, the man at the Magic Acolyte Realm turned to look at Russell as he noticed Russell staring dumbly at him ever since he revealed the fact that he was a mage.
Russell quickly looked away and quickened his pace into the alley where Mr. Frank's alchemy shop was located.
"What a weird child," the acolyte thought before he continued with his own activity.
"That was a close one… How could you stare so much at a mage? Damn!" Russell cursed at his own mistake.
Yet he was thrilled as he learned all this new information.
Not only did this encounter with the mage and the news about a magic treasure ignite his flame all the more to become a mage, but he was also thrilled as he now had new stories to tell Davi about.
It had been a while since he spoke with Davi, and he began to recall the good old days.
Soon, he reached the stall where he was supposed to get the restoration pill from, only to discover that Mr. Frank was closed.
Sigh.
As he walked away dejectedly, he thought of what to do with the 15 bronze rubbies he had on him.
He had already checked out several other shops, only to discover that the price for a restorative pill with the lowest quality was 50 bronze rubbies, and no one was willing to give him credit as he is from the slums.
Russell walked away dejectedly.
With no other option than to proceed to the mines, Russell walked a great distance until he got there, only to feel even more dejected.
It turned out that all their workers were suspended until further notice as they were conducting investigations for the 'treasure.'
Thus, Russell would not be receiving any form of payment today.
Left with nothing to do, he got lunch for himself and Davi, his brother, and returned home.
It was already noon, and the sun was blaring hot.
Just then, Russell opened the rag that covered their home, only to receive a chilling scream
"AM I… BLIND?!?!?!"
Standing in shock, Russell realized that it was from his brother.
