Chapter 123: The Serpent's Abyss

Kent did not blink. He outstretched his hand and commanded his Hellfire to come out. Black fire, black as the deepest abysses themselves seethed up, meeting the tidal wave with beastly rage.
The moment fire and water clashed, the battlefield of war went mad.
Steam burst in furious spurts, blanketing the ground in thick mist. The shockwave produced more shockwaves which ripple on the lake, creating waves of lesser size breaking on the shore.
Kent clenched his fist, doubling the intensity of his flame. He mocked the serpent saying, "Not bad, but why don't you give this a try."
He stepped forward, his full hand aflame. The mist on him evaporated the moment it came into contact with him.
The Abyssal Serpent retreated, curling its massive body before dashing forward at electric speed.
WHOOSH!
Its tail lashed through Kent, cutting through the fog in crashing strokes.
