{Chapter: 166 Good Daughter}
Alice and Ada instinctively raised their guns at the sudden intruder. Their fingers tightened on the triggers, ready to fire. However, Alice's expression shifted the moment she recognized the figure before her. Her sharp eyes narrowed as she spoke.
"William... Are you a clone or the real deal?"
"Clone? I have a clone?" William arched a brow, then smirked mischievously. "Actually, I just arrived here and happened to notice some activity. I decided to check it out, and, well, imagine my surprise when I found you. Seems like fate, doesn't it?"
Before Alice could respond, a small figure rushed forward and wrapped herself around William's leg.
"Dad!" Becky cried out, clinging to him tightly. "I'm so glad you're safe."
William froze, staring down at the little girl with wide eyes. "Dad?" His voice was filled with disbelief. "Since when did I have a daughter?"
Alice and Ada exchanged glances before lowering their weapons slightly.
"It seems like he's the real William," Alice muttered.
Becky gazed up at William, her expression full of confusion. "Dad, don't you recognize me?"
William's lips curled into an enigmatic smile as something seemed to click in his mind. "Becky, huh? I think I understand now. There really is a clone of me running around here. But of course, Becky, I know you. How could I not? You're my precious daughter."
His eyes darkened slightly with an unreadable emotion as he gently ran his fingers through Becky's curly hair.
Becky frowned. "Dad… You feel a little different."
William chuckled, tilting his head. "Oh? Don't you think your mother feels a little different too?" His gaze flicked toward Alice with an unsettling intensity.
Becky turned her head toward Alice, studying her mother carefully. "Hmm… Well, Mommy does feel a little different too."
William's smirk widened. "Wife, your daughter says you've changed. What do you think about that?"
Alice's jaw clenched, and her eyes flashed with irritation. "Don't call me old—"
"Mommy, why are you angry?" Becky blinked innocently. "It's not wrong for Daddy to call you his wife, right?"
William sighed dramatically, shaking his head. "Wife, you shouldn't break a child's heart. That kind of thing can leave a lasting scar."
Alice inhaled deeply, forcing a calm expression onto her face. Then, with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes, she nodded. "You're right. You're absolutely right. Becky, Mommy isn't angry."
"That's the spirit, wife." William stepped closer to Alice, his presence commanding as always.
"William." Alice's voice was like ice.
William's gaze wandered to the photos scattered on a nearby table. He picked one up, holding it between his fingers. "What a picture-perfect family of three," he murmured. "Isn't that right, Alice?"
Alice exhaled slowly. "Yes."
"And we'll always be like this." William's smirk softened into something almost genuine. "Forever."
Ada, who had been silently observing, finally spoke. "William, why are you here?"
William's eyes shifted to Ada, his gaze leisurely traveling from her face down to her feet before settling on her chest. He grinned shamelessly. "Hmm… big and white. Beautiful. I have to say, I'd love to—"
Alice's sharp glare cut through his words like a knife. She let out a cold snort. This man couldn't keep himself together in front of a beautiful woman.
Ada frowned. "Mr. William, did you just—"
"Yes, I did," William answered bluntly. "Big, white, and absolutely stunning. But don't take it seriously, just a little joke. Anyway, as for your question—" he spread his arms nonchalantly, "wherever there's love, you'll find me. You can call me the Angel of Love."
"Dad, you're so funny!" Becky giggled, covering her mouth with her small hands.
Ada sighed and shook her head. "I still don't understand why Wesker is so obsessed with you."
"Oh, Wesker's still alive? Of course he is. That guy just won't stay dead, no matter how many times you shoot him." William chuckled.
Alice crossed her arms. "William, tell me the truth. Why did you come here?"
William held her gaze, his smile never wavering. "Because I was worried about you." He shrugged. "White Queen suspected you might be here, so I decided to check in on you."
Alice's heart skipped a beat for just a moment. She quickly turned her face away. "Worried about me? That's a joke."
Ada smirked. "You two really have a complicated relationship."
"Believe me or don't, but one thing will never change—you're my woman." William's eyes burned with confidence and something deeper, more possessive.
Alice turned away again, this time without a retort.
"Dad, Mommy, what are you talking about? I don't understand." Becky tilted her head in confusion.
William chuckled and ruffled Becky's hair. "My dear daughter, you'll understand when you're older."
"Oh. Okay!" Becky nodded enthusiastically.
At that moment, a voice interrupted them. "How long are you two going to keep playing house? You've got company." White Queen strolled in, her expression unimpressed.
Becky looked up at the woman and suddenly felt a strange sense of familiarity. "Dad… Who is she?"
William smirked. "Her? She's my illegitimate daughter. You two share some blood. Go ahead, call her sister."
"You perverted old man!" White Queen snapped.
"Illegitimate daughter? Sister?" Becky blinked in surprise, then broke into a joyful smile. "That's great! I always wanted a sister! Hello, sister!" She ran up to White Queen, beaming.
White Queen was momentarily caught off guard. "Uh… that…"
"Is it that hard to call her 'sister'?" William teased.
White Queen rolled her eyes before sighing. "Fine. Hello, sister."
Becky clapped her hands together in excitement. "Yay! I'm not alone anymore! But… Mommy, aren't you mad that Daddy has an illegitimate daughter?"
Alice's smile was stiff. "No, not at all."
"Then that's perfect! We're all one big happy family!" Becky cheered.
Ada cleared her throat. "We should move."
William turned to Ada. "You're Ada, right? You remind me of someone I know… The only real difference is your hairstyle and outfit."
Ada raised an eyebrow. "I don't have a clone, if that's what you're implying. And if this is your idea of flirting, it's outdated."
"Oh, I wasn't flirting," William replied smoothly. "Her name is Su Yueming. She's from China. You're Chinese too, aren't you? Maybe she's your long-lost twin."
Ada hesitated. "That's impossible. I don't have a twin. I'm sure of it. Is this Su Yueming still alive?"
"Of course. I'll arrange for you to meet her, then you can see for yourself." William's smirk deepened.
White Queen sighed. "William, there are people outside waiting for you. Could you stop trying to pick up girls for just one moment?"
William nodded. "Fine, let's go see who's waiting for us."
Alice's voice carried a hint of something she didn't even recognize in herself. "Your old lovers."
William grinned. "Oh? Then I'd better get acquainted with them."
As the group stepped outside, they found themselves facing a team of armed Umbrella operatives. At the front of the group stood two familiar figures—Jill and Terry.
