The soft lights from the cast iron streetlamps illuminated the road onto which Peri walked on, her gaze slightly lowered. An endless swarm of delightful food smells were carried by the wind in all directions, her eyes wandered around the various restaurants, wondering if she should just stop and have a meal before heading back.
Her choices were endless, but the one that caught her eye in the way nothing else did was none other than a pizzeria. Its customers were few, but the slices simply looked divine. Peri's finger scanned around the glass looking for the perfect slice to satiate her hunger, after all, she had spent hours looking for the exit of the sewer system, among other things.
'Hello my good man, would it be possible to get two slices of the Hawaiian?'
The store clerk shot her a disgusted look and began reheating the pizza in the small convection oven in the back. Three minutes and everything was packed and ready to go.
