Looking at her she freeness troubled and unrelaxed "Do you need to see him?"
"Oh… yes," she admitted, her shoulders slumping slightly. "But it's alright if he's gone."
"No, Miss," the butler said encouragingly. "If it's urgent, you can still catch up to him. He left less than a minute ago—if you hurry, you might be able to reach him before he drives off."
"It's alright. Don't worry, sir. Thanks," Elena said sadly before turning around and heading back up the stairs.
She wondered why Ford had woken up so early for work. She still wanted to apologize for what had happened the day before, but she had missed her chance. Letting out a sigh, she climbed the staircase, her mind filled with regret—until a sudden thought struck her.
