Angelica let out a breath of relief when she heard that.
Thank God—she'd been worried Selina might have some real way to prove her innocence. But she wanted to rely on surveillance footage? That was laughable.
Everyone knew the design rooms didn't have cameras. At least her room definitely didn't.
So Selina thought she could prove anything with that? Dream on.
Angelica feigned concern. "Selina, if there were any surveillance footage, of course I'd help clear your name. But you know the design rooms weren't monitored. This kind of behavior is just… childish."
Her words were meant to subtly suggest Selina was just making a scene to stall for time. If there were no cameras, then calling for surveillance was nothing more than a desperate attempt to drag things out.
But before Angelica could finish, Selina gave a slow, meaningful smile.
"Sister Angelica… who said there aren't cameras in the design rooms?"
What?
