Inside the guest area on the first floor of the pavilion, Tian Ye sat on a couch with a table before him. The tray brought by Zhao Meng rested on top with a wine jar and a small cup for drinking.
He looked towards Zhao Meng who was standing on the side, and with the sides of his lips curling up slightly, he pointed at the other couch opposite of himself, positioned after the table, "Sit."
"This…" Zhao Meng said in hesitation causing Tian Ye to be displeased.
"Young Lady Zhao! you should know that I don't like repeating myself right? I've already told you before, and said it to the guard… dead guard now." He said, raising his voice slightly, his brows tightening into a frown.
Zhao Meng felt goosebumps all over her causing her to reply hurriedly, bowing in fear, "I apologize, my lord!"
Despite hurriedly apologizing in fear, she next sat directly on the couch in front of Tian Ye, with an awkward fearful smile.
"You shouldn't hesitate when I tell you to do something. Do I make myself clear? And it's not like I'm asking you to do something excessive." Tian Ye waved his hand in reply, then proceeded to grab the wine cup.
"Yes, my lord." Zhao Meng respectfully replied, her hands on top of her lap, watching Tian Ye try the Silver Bamboo Bliss.
'Hopefully, he would like the wine.' Zhao Meng prayed in her heart.
Zhao Meng then offered, "My lord, would you like me to pour you wine?"
"No need." Tian Ye shook his head, grabbing the wine jar himself, to pour wine into his small cup.
Hearing Tian Ye decline, Zhao Meng didn't say anything else and just sat on the couch quietly.
The trickling of the pouring wine into the small cup resounded through the quiet guest room of the pavilion.
Soon, Tian Ye filled his cup to the brim, causing Zhao Meng to swallow the saliva in her mouth, 'Will he like it? Or not?'
Although Zhao Meng thought of this, she simply watched Tian Ye slowly sip the wine in his cup with his eyes closed.
As he finished, his eyes widened in excitement, then he drank directly from the wine jar and drank in huge gulps causing Zhao Meng's eyes to glow in excitement. 'He loves it!'
A few moments later, Tian Ye pulled the wine jar away, raised it with one hand, said with a happy expression, "So disgusting! Hahaha!'
'Disgusting?' Zhao Meng's lips couldn't help but twitch hearing his words. He drank it like it was so delicious but still says comments that it's disgusting?!
Soon, Tian Ye felt the alcohol take effect on his body, his vision slightly going up and down, despite not moving at all.
He laughed out loud, "It's not because it's delicious that people drink it but because of this intoxication huh? This indeed feels quite nice. The feeling is quite wonderful, as well as quite dangerous…"
Tian Ye commented in satisfaction before turning to Zhao Meng, who flinched as if a cat that had its tail stepped on.
"Is there anything else, my lord?"
Tian Ye stood up, and said, his eyes half-closed, looking at the opened gates of the first floor, "Let's go to the Moonlit Pavilion, I'm looking forward to the Dragon's… what is it again?"
Zhao Meng stood up as well, respectfully reminding, "It's called Dragon's Gate Elixir, my lord."
"Oh, that's it, go on, lead the way."
"Please follow me, my lord. It's not that far, we should arrive in less than 5 minutes." Zhao Meng nodded and slowly led the way to the Moonlit Pavilion.
"Um." Tian Ye replied, following behind Zhao Meng, his white robes fluttering, looking like a handsome immortal that had descended from the heavens.
But… Zhao Meng couldn't see this, with the cruelty and whims of Tian Ye that she saw, the only thing she saw was a demon.
As they walked outside, the mortals shopping in the busy 3rd street, looked towards Zhao Meng and Tian Ye.
They didn't notice them before when they walked in, but now that they've walked out of such a luxurious pavilion, they were quite eye-catching.
"That's the second young lady of the Zhao Clan!"
"It's indeed the second young lady! She's with someone else? Such a handsome man is following behind her, who could it be? Her lover?"
"Hm… judging by the way she's leading the way, it's unlikely, he should be an important figure. If he were her lover, they'd be walking side to side."
The people in the busy street gossipped silently… or so they thought. Their words still rang out through the streets like it's on speaker.
Zhao Meng who heard their words couldn't help but sweat with the thought, 'What the hell are you people doing? Do they want to die?'
Tian Ye then chuckled, his eyes still half-closed, maybe due to the intoxication of the wine, "Looks like I'm your lover, young lady."
Zhao Meng stutteringly replied, "Please don't mind these people, my lord. They don't know what they're talking about."
"Hm? Is it displeasing to have me as a lover?"
"Of course not, my lord. It's just that someone like me is unworthy of someone of your status."
"Hm… that's true, you're too old and ugly to catch my interest." Tian Ye replied casually, causing Zhao Meng's lips to twitch, a little angry at his words but couldn't do anything about it so she just nodded.
"Yes, my lord, someone ugly like me, can't possibly be your match." Zhao Meng said, but still, her heart was bleeding because she said it herself.
Tian Ye ignored her and just casually looked around the streets they passed through, walking to the Moonlit Pavilion quietly.
Soon, they arrived at the gates of a towering three stories tall pavilion, its designs were even more grand than the tailor shop of Zhao Meng.
And unlike the tailor shop's pavilion, this pavilion had an extension on the side of the building with tablesets in them.
There was also a sign on the top of the first floor saying, "Moonlit Pavilion."
"We've arrived, my lord." Zhao Meng informed.
Tian Ye just nodded and walked in, following Zhao Meng from behind.
"Welcome, guests! Oh, it's Young Lady Zhao Meng." The one who greeted respectfully was a woman in her early twenties, but despite her age, she gave off the feeling of an overlord despite her kind demeanor.
"Owner Li Hua." Zhao Meng greeted respectfully.
Seeing this, Tian Ye concluded that this woman had a high status within the Yellow Leaf City.
But considering that her surname wasn't one of the four great clans, it meant that her ancestors had climbed up to this level of status in terms of financial power. Or maybe, she climbed at this level herself.
Tian Ye remained quiet, and didn't really intend to speak with this woman, since he was just here for food, but it was Li Hua who mentioned him, herself with a hint of interest, "This gentleman is?"
Zhao Meng introduced, "This lord is Tian Ye, Owner Li."
Tian Ye just smiled and nodded as he introduced himself, "I'm Tian Ye, nice to meet you, Owner Li."
'Lord?' Li Hua thought in her mind, shocked, after hearing the young lady of the Zhao Clan call an individual with such a term so she bowed with her hands cupped, greeting respectfully, "We welcome you to the Moonlit Pavilion, Lord Tian."
Tian Ye then asked in wonder, "I wonder, is the 3rd floor available?"
He then smiled thoughtfully, "Or is it not because it's only for those with official power in Yellow Leaf City?"
Zhao Meng couldn't help but feel nervous hearing his words, 'Why does his words always have to feel like if one went against him, there'd be consequences?'
Zhao Meng just fearfully signaled to Li Hua with her eyes.
Unlike the guard who couldn't notice the warning, as someone with a great status, she had experience and intelligence incomparable to that of the guard, so she noticed Zhao Meng's warning with a moment and said, "Of course it's available, Lord Tian. If you'd like, we'll close it off for you to sit alone."
Tian Ye couldn't help but feel a tinge of surprise hearing her words but he chuckled and nodded in satisfaction, "That's unnecessary, lead the way."
"Then, please follow me, Lord Tian." Li Hua said charmingly, leading the way, walking like a noble through the stairs.
The people dining within the Moonlit Pavilion couldn't help but look towards Tian Ye in curiosity, all of them with the same thoughts.
'What status does he possess for the owner of the Moonlit Pavilion to treat him so respectfully.'
"If you don't mind me asking, where did Lord Tian come from before going to the Yellow Leaf City?" Li Hua asked in curiosity.
Meanwhile, Zhao Meng was again a little nervous with Li Hua's words.
Tian Ye then looked at Li Hua in amusement, "You should have noticed how Young Lady Zhao treats me but even then, you dare to ask. I have to say that you're quite gutsy, Owner Li."
"Is that a compliment, Lord Tian? If so, I accept it gratefully."
Li Hua smiled charmingly, meanwhile Tian Ye chuckled and answered nonchalantly, "Well, I came from a sect called Eternal Lotus Sect."
