Officer Rylan was sitting at his desk, his expression serious and contemplative, as if he were trying to anticipate what would happen next. A few minutes later, Officer Grayden stormed into the office, slamming his device onto the desk with a frustrated sigh.
"How'd it go with the kid?" Grayden asked, his voice tinged with a mix of curiosity and exasperation.
Rylan sighed, leaning back in his chair. "The kid didn't say a word. My threats didn't work. He just asked for his 'call.'" He scoffed, shaking his head in disbelief. "You know who he asked to call?"
Grayden shrugged, his brow furrowing as he tried to guess. "His father?"
Rylan laughed, the sound echoing through the room. "Nope. The kid asked to call the Chief Executive of the Hero Justice Department."
Grayden's eyes widened in surprise. "Did you make the call?"
