Marionette stood before Lillian's door with an uncertain expression. Behind her back, she tightly clutched the box of marshmallows but soft enough to not completely crush it.
She then brought her free hand, which was her right, towards the door. Her knuckles hovered above the surface of it. She didn't know why but...
"Huuu..."
She felt like taking a deep breath would cool her nerves a bit. This was a first for her, after all. Getting a gift for a special person.
Would she accept it? Would she like it? She didn't know but... she hoped she would.
Just as she was about to knock on the door, she saw it slowly open to reveal Lillian standing at it.
The white-haired girl stared at her with wide eyes before saying with her head slightly tilted to the side:
"Eh? Marionette? Why are you here?"
"... I..." Marionette paused to think about her words. She then decided to ask back a question to give herself some time.
"Where were you off to?"
