-Kathrine Andrews (Song of the chapter: Hotel by Montell Fish)
I didn't go back to my room.
Not yet.
Instead, I found myself in Lily and Emma's room, stretched out on Emma's bed, staring at the ceiling while they talked. Or rather, while Lily talked and Emma absentmindedly scrolled through her phone, occasionally humming in acknowledgment.
"You're quiet," Lily said, nudging me with her foot.
I blinked, realizing I had barely processed anything she'd been saying. "Tired," I muttered, a weak excuse at best.
She snorted. "No, you're avoiding something."
Emma glanced up at that, her eyes flicking toward me with mild interest before shifting back to her phone. "Or someone," she said.
Lily's eyes widened slightly before a knowing smirk pulled at her lips. "Ohhh. That's right. You have to go back to your room with Glyndon, don't you?"
I clenched my jaw.
Emma didn't even bother to look up this time. "How bad is it?"
I exhaled slowly, rubbing my temple. "She's unbearable."
