She took another step forward.
Slow.
Purposeful.
Like she was giving me time to react. To stop her. To run.

Kathrine's eyes stayed locked on mine, sharp and unreadable, as if she were measuring my reaction. Testing me. Seeing how far she could push before I snapped.
Before I did something reckless.
Before I did something I couldn't take back.
The tension between us thickened, wrapping around the air, and making every breath feel heavier.
I should say something.
I should move.
But all I could do was watch as she tilted her head slightly like she found this amusing.
Like she knew exactly what was happening inside my head.
Her robe was loose, barely tied at the waist, hanging off one shoulder like she couldn't be bothered to fix it. Like she wanted me to notice.
And I did.
