Glyndon Walton:( Song of the chapter: Obsession by Mellina Tey)
The moment stretched between us, silence filled the dimly lit room, thick with tension, unspoken words tangled between Kathrine's sharp, assessing gaze and my hammering heart. I could feel my fast pulse in my throat, in my wrists, in my ears, as well as in the tips of my fingers as I slowly rose from my chair.
Kathrine's blue sharp eyes followed my movements, cautious yet intrigued, a mix of skepticism and something darker—a flicker of something I was desperate to grasp onto.
I didn't say anything.
Instead, I reached for the sash of my robe, fingers steady despite the storm raging inside my head. With a slow, deliberate pull, I undid the knot on my waist and let the silky red fabric slip freely from my shoulders, watching as it slid down my body in a whisper of softness before pooling on the floor at my feet.
Kathrine's breath hitched, her lips parted.
