Chapter 76 - Chapter 72: Towards Section B

(Sunday, November 5, 2020 – 1:18 PM)

The heavy metal cell door creaked open, revealing the dimly lit hallway beyond. Jin stepped forward, hands tucked into his pockets with his head tilting slightly as he took in the scene before him.

All around, other cells had been unlocked with their inmates hesitantly stepping out. The levels above were the same, prisoners peering over the railings, their gazes cautious, bodies tense. Nobody moved yet, but the atmosphere was thick, electric, like a forest just before a wildfire.

Then, the murmurs began.

"Those bastards… it's their fault the yard is closed."

"They think they run this place?"

"We should find them. Make them pay."

The whispers spread like an infection, turning to resentful stares as more prisoners stepped out, their focus shifting rapidly, searching, scanning. Hunting.

Jin listened, his smirk growing as he exhaled through his nose. He could feel it, the frustration, the tension, the brewing violence.

'Subarashinaa.'

Then, in an exaggerated, cheerful tone, he suddenly shouted:

"OH MY GOD, THE WARDEN PAID ME AND GUN TO THANK US FOR DESTROYING THE FIELD!"

Silence.

For a second, the prison stood completely still.

Then, like a lit fuse, chaos detonated.

"WHAT?!"

"THEY GOT REWARDED?!"

"THOSE FUCKING BASTARDS!!"

Prisoners went feral in an instant, faces contorting with rage as they turned toward the nearest possible targets, each other.

Jin barely contained his laughter as a wave of bodies surged toward him, fists raised, eyes burning with fury.

"Ah, they're all so cute."

The first inmate lunged, only for Jin to casually hop backward, his movement were childlike and effortless. As the attacker stumbled forward, Jin's foot shot out, striking his chin cleanly.

BANG!

The inmate's head snapped back with his body lifting slightly before collapsing in a heap.

"Oops~" Jin hummed, spinning on his heel as two more inmates rushed in.

In a blur of movement, he sidestepped with his leg sweeping low.

CRACK!

One prisoner's legs were taken out from under him, sending him face-first into the floor.

The second barely had time to process what happened before Jin's fist buried itself into his gut.

BOOM!

His body crumpled instantly, folding like a cheap chair before slamming onto the ground.

Jin stretched his arms, casually skipping away, completely unbothered by the bodies dropping behind him.

"I need to meet the area bosses~" he sang, disappearing down the corridor.

Back at the cell entrance, Daeho, Minseok, Taeyang, Wonjae, and Sangho stood frozen with sweat on their foreheads as they watched dozens of inmates now turning their attention… directly toward them.

The five exchanged glances with grim expressions.

"…Did Jin just leave us alone to deal with all these guys?" Daeho asked in a dry voice.

Minseok sighed heavily. "Tch. That bastard."

Taeyang wiped his hands on his pants, cracking his neck. "No choice now."

Wonjae rolled his shoulders while clenching his teeth. "This is exactly like training…"

Sangho exhaled deeply, his usually quiet demeanor giving way to a small smirk. "We'll survive."

Then, like a memory resurfacing at the perfect moment, Jin's voice echoed in their minds.

"The fastest and best way to get stronger is through experience and conviction, especially against a lot of opponents who only want to hurt you."

They exhaled, steadying themselves as the first wave of prisoners charged in.

It was time to prove their training had paid off.

(1:26 PM)

Jin skipped through the halls, light on his feet, hands in his pockets, humming a random tune as chaos unfolded around him.

Inmates charged at him, some in blind rage, others trying to make self-important introductions like they mattered.

"I'm Kang Joon, former crew hea-"

BAM!

A single tap to the liver sent Kang Joon to his knees, vomiting instantly before he even finished his sentence.

Another inmate, a bulky guy with tattoos covering his arms, tried to act cool. "Yo, kid, I like your style, but I think-"

THUD!

A casual sidekick to the chest sent him flying into a nearby bench, his body bending unnaturally over it before he went limp.

Jin sighed. "So many nobodies talking like they're important."

A few inmates tried to surround him, but Jin simply hopped onto a nearby railing, using it as leverage to flip over them, landing gracefully like a gymnast.

One particularly ambitious guy swung a makeshift shiv, but Jin caught his wrist mid-air, snapping it effortlessly before shoving him into another inmate.

BAM!

The two crashed into a pile of unconscious bodies with the hallways now littered with groaning prisoners.

Jin stretched his arms. "This is taking too long."

With a final bounce in his step, he skipped forward.

Supply Storage section A

The air inside was stuffy, thick with the scent of dust and stale smoke. Metal shelves lined the walls, filled with supplies, though everyone knew this place had another purpose, contraband smuggling in exchange for favors.

Near the entrance, a guard leaned against the shelves, a lit cigar between his fingers, exhaling a slow, satisfied breath.

Jin chuckled. "You must be enjoying that cigar I gave you."

The guard grinned, not even pretending to be surprised. "Not bad, kid. Quality's better than the trash they give us here."

Jin tilted his head. "So? Got anything for me?"

The guard reached into a nearby locker, tossing a small packet of lollipops and a box of fried chicken onto the counter.

Jin's eyes lit up. "Oh? You spoil me."

He grabbed a lollipop, unwrapping it with his teeth before biting down. The sweet taste mixed with the lingering scent of violence in the air.

He pocketed the rest before picking up a drumstick, taking a slow bite. Crispy, juicy, "perfect".

Then, without missing a beat, he asked, "Where are the other five area bosses?"

The guard shrugged. "Dunno. Don't remember."

Jin rolled his eyes. "Of course you don't."

Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a small stack of bills, placing them lazily on the counter.

The guard laughed, pocketing the money without hesitation. "Now that you mention it… there's a guy in Section B, really good with weapons."

Jin nodded, finishing the chicken leg in one last bite.

"Section B, huh?" He licked his fingers before turning toward the exit.

The prison was now split into factions with each area boss gathering their forces.

Jin was currently in Section A, where he had left Gun, who was most likely on the other side, smiling as he tore through inmates like a wild animal.

Jin sighed.

"This is about to get fun."

With that, he stepped back into the halls, ready to hunt down the bosses one by one.

----

Jin stats don't have the same value as Dowan ones, since with Jin synchronization with the Lookism reality, I've made that 1000 is his max stat, and to go higher he needs to unlock mastery.

For comparison, Big Daniel perfect body stats are 1250 while Gapryong should be around 1500, but that could change in the future since my ideas change.

But keep this as a info coherence so you know his current strength.

He is a bit stronger than Gun who awakened against Goo when he first meet him.
