"Where is the Empress?" Ares asked as he walked down the main corridor of the Empress's residence.
Adelais bowed respectfully, flabbergasted to find the Emperor suddenly appearing before the Empress's chamber. "Your Majesty, the Emperor? She is reading a book in her room."
Ares lifted his head, raising one eyebrow. "Is that all she is doing? Why does she like reading books so much? Doesn't she want anything else? Have you noticed anything strange about her?"
Adelais answered gracefully. "She often has trouble sleeping at night. Even when she sleeps, she wakes up mumbling strangely. Maddie stated it's a habit she had every night back in Oakhaven. There's no problem with her appetite, and her health is good."
"Mumbling? What does she say when she mumbles?" Ares asked curiously but kept a neutral expression.
