"I got this!" V exclaimed, adrenaline fueling her courage. One hand managed to grasp the edge of the cliff and the sturdier roots of the Tree of Life. Silver light glowed brightly in her hand, protecting V from falling off the peak of Arran. "I wanted to test how far this power would go if I were in minefield."
Moving, lifting his body higher, V crawled up to the safest point right next to the Tree of Life. Her breath was heavy, and she leaned against the sturdy, enormous trunk of the Tree of Life, with rows of golden light shining brightly even in the daytime.
V giggled, taking a deep breath. She looked down, realizing it was much higher than she had imagined. "It's so cold up here, and the view is way cooler."
Wherever her eyes went, V could see the vast, prosperous, fertile, and stunning lands of the Alverton Empire. Leaning against the Tree of Life was surprisingly comfortable.
