"What the hell do you want me for?" asked Emris, glaring sarcastically at Blanche from her desk. "Can't you see I'm swamped?"
The day was not yet hot; still, Blanche had already interrupted his work. After all the repeated failures to get Ares' attention, the Malvolian family had blamed Blanche endlessly.
This time Blanche, however, met Emris with a smile full of bizarre confidence. Making Emris' eyebrows twitch in consternation. Who knows what other plans Blanche was formulating right now? Seeing her expression that spread a wince of victory as well as a glint in her eye was much more radiant than the previous days.
