They hadn't failed to make the connection when the secret realm began shaking.
It very likely had something to do with Eryndor given how he always knew something was going on in the background and also how he had run off so abruptly.
But seeing how there wasn't a single message from him for so long even after the shaking had stopped, they couldn't help but get worried.
Did something happen to him?
Coincidentally, Eryndor sent a message on their group chat at that same exact time.

He didn't want them to come searching after him.
For all he knew, Morris might very likely still be alive, he couldn't let them anywhere near that madman.
